<p>i really hope they work on memorial day! if i don’t get a decision by tuesday morning I’m calling to see what’s going on. There’s no way they could be “currently reviewing” my application for more than 2 weeks. it shouldn’t take that long!</p>

<p>Yeah, I hope that’s not the case though.
But my stats are:
Honors College Student, 40 hours(19 from AP/CLEP), 3.5 GPA/3.7 for Spring 2010, Strong ECs and Strong essays,no letters of rec.—I’m not really worried about getting in, I’m just tired of waiting to know.
Oh and I’m applying for COLA-Political Science/Government and Undeclared for my second choice because I definitely want to major in Government.</p>
<p>You have pretty decent chances of getting in, though it’s never a sure thing. And Liberal Arts is one of the easier colleges to get in, so I probably wouldn’t worry much either. Hopefully all of us hear soon.</p>
<p>Ok, it’s now Tuesday after the holiday weekend and my final transcripts were in and my status reading “Your Application is now under review” since the 20th…I wonder how many times I will check my status today LOL.</p>
<p>You’re not alone jbg - I can’t count how many times I would check my status per day waiting for an answer. I’d have to search the forum, but I recall someone with a Mac actually posted a script they wrote that would log on and copy and paste their status to their desktop every 15 minutes so they wouldn’t have to open their browser - clearly being neurotic is common. ;)</p>
<p>Same boat as you guys. They need to pick up the pace since it is June! I hope this is the week for a decision… Lol. I even prayed that I would find out soon.</p>

<p>I was neurotic while waiting for UT’s decision too!</p>
<p>My home page was the status page and I checked my status each time I opened up fire fox. Even in the middle of studying, the thought of UT would pop up and I would immediately check my status.</p>
<p>I can really empathize with those of you still waiting. Waiting until June for your admissions decision should be considered “cruel and unusual punishment!”</p>

<p>Bad news for those who are applying for COLA–I just got off the phone with a lady from the admissions office and she said that since they don’t have as many spots left in COLA as they usually do we may have to wait until after June 15th, when all the transcripts are sent in, to find out whether we were accepted.</p>

Ive been checking that status page frequently until now when I made the coolest app ever.</p>
<p>Using GeekTool, I wrote a script that logs in, copies the status page, then posts it on my desktop every couple of minutes. Within minutes of the status changing it will be on my desktop! Awesome, but Mac only unless you use a GeekTool equivalent.</p>

<p>Yeah he probably pulled it, but it was sort of cool - saves the trouble of logging in all the time.</p>
<p>Longhornhopeful7, they told me basically the same thing… The admissions guy I talked to said that it happens in the more competitive majors. People with higher gpas will find out first, but if that is true the how did anthro get in before xcellerator? Xcellerator has the higher gpa. Who knows but it is ridiculous to have to wait til June 15th. We still need to find a place to lie since we are unlikely to get a housing contract. This is all just too frustrating to be honest.</p>

<p>Even though I have a higher GPA than anthro, I applied to BME first, Biology 2nd. They’re probably making the decision on whether I should be in Engineering or not. -_- Though I’m most likely in for CNS Biology already. I just want to get in now lol. Falalala, wait wait wait.</p>

<p>Xcel - nope, sorry, since I don’t have a Mac I never bothered, although I think I looked for a Windows equivalent and decided it wasn’t worth the hassle. Hopefully you’ll hear something soon and you won’t need it either!</p>
