i wonder why its taking so long for X to get in

it isn’t monday, remember?

nothing special about monday , over and above all its just another day. (line from a rap song)

and yea i know i said by monday lol

No, you were not correct in the thread you cited above–far from it. You stated that a 3.2 was needed to gain internal admission into the College of Communications when, in fact, that is not the case. The empirical evidence to the contrary is posted above.

your communications GPA was a 3.3…

To whom is that directed?

Since candidates for internal Communications transfers are only required to take ADV 318J, their Communications GPA is rather mute, other than the requisite B- in said course.

Rather, their overall GPA is what determines their internal acceptance into Communications. Thus, the overall 3.2 you stated is incongruent with the empirical evidence msolo provided.

i need to quit being so argumentative

people on this site bring out the lawyer inside of me lmao

Pierre, really the lawyer??? you are full of yourself. I hope A&M knows what a dumba$$ is coming their way.

@Xcellerator

do you think you will be able to get the professors you want?

you’ll be bringing your car this year right?

He will if he makes the second transfer orientation. 6/14 & 6/28 are the summer orientations. Then theres fall in August as well.

ok cool, i was just wondering about that.

Probably most profs if I can make the 6/28 orientation like DenuMx said.

And yeah, I’ll be bringing my car. I just hope it doesn’t get break into or anything. It’s pretty new.

@pierrech: I’m actually a SHE.

A little tip for new students going to orientation (mostly for transfer students). When you meet with your department (e.g. Economics) you will fill out a sheet that they give everyone, this sheet is what allows advisers to open up registration for you. So, after you turn it in, wait a few minutes and try to log into the UTexas system and see if you can add classes. This way, you will be able to register before everyone else instead of having to wait in a long line.

I’ve heard that UT saves a number of spots in each class for each orientation. However, if this is the case how is it that classes are already waitlisted?

And thank you, @txex86 for backing me up :). My communications GPA was a 3.3.

My status just changed to “Application and required documents were received on time.”

fingers crossed

Once again, good luck to everyone else that is still waiting!!

Wait a minute, it says that they received my transcript on the 8th, but that they do not have a complete transcript on file…? My final transcript has 50 hours and I know for a fact that my credits are all transferable because I attended a CC. Hopefully the notice just hasn’t been updated yet…

I bet it’s not updated. They received your transcript from the spring, not summer.

sorry msolo (for everything)
