Rejected,
does anyone know if its possible to email or call and find out the reason for your rejection for future purposes

Dang, not a single acceptance on CC yet?
Rejected here too ): I thought being waitlisted last year and significantly improving my app would provide me a great chance. Oh well, Iām still waiting to hear back from a few more with a Cornell acceptance!

Waitlisted. I feel lucky as it is.

rejected :(

Rejectedā¦3%, come on Dartmouth.

Im waitlisted please pm whoever is waitlisted. for the skeptics :

The Transfer Committee has completed the review of applications for admission, and we have placed your name on the waiting list. If additional places become available, we will review your application immediately. You are encouraged to remain on the waiting list if Dartmouth continues to be of interest to you.

In selecting students, we were guided by the exceptional competition for available places. The competition among applicants for the waiting list was also very rigorous; each of these students has demonstrated qualities that would lead to success and contribution at Dartmouth. If there is space after May 20th, students will be chosen from the waiting list to achieve the balance and academic strength sought in the entering class.

At this time the waiting list is not ranked; therefore, it is difficult to predict your chances for admission. I would appreciate hearing from you, as soon as possible, about your college plans. Please visit our Waiting List Reply Form to learn more about the waiting list and to reply to our offer of a place on the list. Your prompt response is important to us and to other candidates. We will try to reach a final decision about your candidacy as soon after May 20th as possible. In the meantime, you should secure a place in another college even if you do decide to wait to hear from us. I hope the next few weeks go well for you.

Sincerely,

Maria Laskaris

got accepted in cornell and uchicago though but i really like dartmouth .

@Transferstudentn: Congrats! But how did you hear about UChicago when transfer admissions have not been released yet? At least not that Iāve heard ofā¦

@TheMagician: What other schools are you applying to man?

Heard from a guy who was put by admission office to notify me.

And what are the stats of the waitlistees?

@cordova they told me yesterday btw. he was an ex alumuns and just told me the news ā¦

I heard that darmtouth has 30 wait list , hopefully most of us will make it, depends how room they have/ hopefuly we get in ā¦

@Transferstudenttn: Iām not sure if I believe youā¦I called before and no one has been told yet especially since they release them all at the same time. But if its trueā¦congrats! :D

An internship at Google, a research project at Microsoft and a recommendation letter from one of worldās leading open source evangelists. How much more do they expect from their applicants?

what are your stats kazzar? your softs sound great.

@Kazzar: I wouldnāt take it too personally. Dartmouth seems to be the least diverse of the Ivy Leagues. I think they have expectations or a model for their students. Idk I feel like I had a very compelling case (URM, low socio-economic background, hispanic, spanish major, etc) and was still rejected. Not to say that I donāt deserve it, but stillā¦something is fishy hereā¦lol

it could also be that Dartmouth, being a top tiered school, wants students with competitive stats. Also the suppās absence may mean less work but also less space to showcase some of those diversity related aspects. Especially because the transfer essay topic is very straightforward, applicants canāt really spin hispanic status or socioeconomic background into it.

I think a 3% rate is ridiculous!! to be frank!

I believe that people on wait list may hope for an admission. they said may 20 is notification date. anyone else got waitlisted?
