***Official Fall 2011 TUFTS Transfer Thread***

My tams changed to this in place of the decision link.

" Admissions decisions on Real Program applicants are not available online"

Thank you for submitting an application for transfer admission to Tufts University. After a careful and thoughtful review of your academic and personal qualifications, we regret that we are unable to offer you admission to the University.

This was a particularly difficult decision for us to reach. Tufts received a record number of transfer candidates this spring and competition for the limited number of transfer places was keen. In the end, the Committee denied admission to many appealing candidates, like you, who would have added much to our undergraduate community.

I know it is never easy to receive this sort of letter, and I understand your disappointment in our decision. Best wishes as you continue your academic career.

Just changed,

I was rejected.

oh no, im sorry guys :frowning: im starting to wonder if they accepted anyone. still no update on my account yet…

Dear ____:
On behalf of the Admission Committee I am delighted to offer you transfer admission to the School of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University. You wrote an impressive application, and I invite you to begin study with our Faculty in September.

Tufts received a large and talented pool of transfer applicants this fall, and your admission to the University reflects our confidence in your outstanding academic and personal record. Tufts places a high premium on intellectual curiosity, citizenship and originality and you are clearly a student who embodies these qualities. We look forward to welcoming you to our undergraduate community next semester.

To confirm your place at Tufts, please sign and return the enclosed Enrollment Form, along with a non-refundable tuition deposit of $600 (USD), no later than Wednesday, May 18, 2011. The deposit will be deducted from your fall semester charges.

Our offer of admission is made with the expectation that you will maintain the level of academic excellence and personal integrity that characterized your transfer candidacy. Accordingly, we will carefully review the final results of your semester’s work and we ask that you forward a final transcript to the Office of Undergraduate Admission by June 30.

Congratulations again,_____, on your acceptance. Welcome to Tufts.
Sincerely,

^that makes me feel so much better. I’m in love with tufts and will be devastated if I don’t get in. I’m scared because when I meant to hit print preview I had pre-checked the box but accidently hit save and I ended up with unwanted typos and getting cut off from a section :frowning: I’ll be so sad if this mishap affects the decision because I was just so excited about my app that I hit the wrong button twice :(

Sorry about this rant I’m just a little blah.

Congrats IBscrewed - looks like you weren’t screwed after all, haha.

hi guys! i also got into the college of arts and sciences. not positive if i will be attending next year, still waiting on some other schools. congrats to those who have gotten in and good luck to all waiting!!

Did you guys get an email from Tufts or snail mail ? and why didn’t I get my username/password to an account on TAMS ? im so NERVOUS

I got snail mail & and email. As for the TAMS account, I would for suuure call first thing in the morning, just to make sure there are no problems because you should have received that information. I wouldn’t worry though, thats easy to take care of.

I didnt get any email, just snail mail. when i re-checked my tams account, it showed the acceptance letter.

Thank you! That made me feel much better. I’m going to call tomorrow hopefully before my final exam- what a stressful day. But congratulations for getting in! Hope I catch up with you!

and thanks IBscrewed91 ! I live in MA so snail mail shouldnt be so snail-ish I guess but I dont know why I’m not hearing back from them at all and congratz to you too!

REJECTED ! I’m not sad though for some reason, I actually bursted out laughing after I hung up. Maybe cause I apply to mainly top schools so i’m used to it? I dont know, but I know I’m applying as a junior again ! haha sorry Tufts, but you’re gonna see my application every single round till I get accepted.

hi! got into Tufts for fall 2011 yesterday
currently attend UW Madison… not sure what to do… my major is Chinese language, and I can’t find anywhere what schools have the best programs other than columbia, harvard, yale etc

milanista - I like your attitude. You’ll be a Jumbo one day. I bet.

Thanks macbook, I’m sure one day you’ll see me there!

milanista - so you never got your tams/ checked tams? you just called and asked?

that makes me wonder if my decision has already been made…

Haha yeah, I called to ask if my application has been received since I never heard back from them and the admission rep was like “Yes, and you were denied admission” I had mixed feelings; I was happy they received my application but wasn’t content with the latter part haha. They sent me my TAMS account today after the call though, decisions are out- just calllll and good luck!

I am sure I will.

what time do you guys think that these things change at each day
