Official FALL 2012 Cornell Transfers

@gkmichel

Mechanical Engineering major here. I hate how we have to wait longer than just about anyone else to find out, but I guess the process is much more complicated in terms of course evaluation and professorial involvement on applications.

What major are you?

I submitted my stuff on 2/23

@gredfields I couldn’t log in until today and I got “the call” on Monday. I wouldn’t sweat the housing portal.

Congrats peeps!! Lets keep the acceptance going! We going to be a record thread on CC with no rejections!who is with me??

@haeji93 Thank you for reassuring me. I needed that! To all acceptees: I extend my sincerest congratulations to you! To those still waiting like me: just breathe. que sera, sera. We’ve done all we can and now the ball is in their court :)

@shadglore I hope so, but I don’t want to jinx it!

Does anyone know if we have a Facebook group? If not, I’m going to start one.

Just got the official email from Cornell after being able to log into housing for the last two days! ACCEPTED to CALS as a biological sciences major, although I have to take bio I and II over the summer as well as english composition II…

@collegekid Congrats! Are you a sophomore transfer? Could you post stats if you haven’t already?

@collegekid793 congratulations :slight_smile: I applied for CALS biological sciences too. Just curious, when were all of your materials in by?

I applied to CAS as well, for the mathematics major.

Wow, you guys seem like a great bunch of people - this only strengthens my conviction that Cornell might just be the right place for me!

@DivZero

Yeah i understand the time needed for the applications, but the waiting game still sucks…I am a chemical engineering major. My stuff was submitted 2/25 but the application was only sent to review like two weeks ago. We should get the engineers out of hiding in this thread! (not that hearing from the other majors isn’t good of course) I’m guessing this housing trick won’t work for us though…we’re gonna have to wait

and congrats to all those that have gotten in so far!

@gkmichel and @divzero I’m a mechanical engineer too. I didn’t apply until on march 1st but my stuff was submitted about march 19th or 20th ish

Stupid question…
I applied to CALS - AEM and online it says that decisions start in mid April on a rolling basis. If I didn’t get my midterm report in until March 21st and my last name starts with “W” is it safe to assume that I will be waiting for quite some time?

so everyone who has heard back applied way before march 1?

@bo90210

naww. i sent in all my materials on March 1 (whooops)
hahaha:)

i see. congrats also :). i guess ill have to continue waiting.

im also a chem engineering major and an international student but i have a questios i still have my fin aid materials in my to do list but im a 100% sure i sent them does that mean they didnt recieve them and im screwed?

I have a similar question. Does anybody have their financial aid stuff off of their to-do list?

And yeah! All the engineers are coming out of their study caves to show up on the thread.

I submitted my fin aid too and it’s also still in my to do list. If I’m accepted, I will call the office about it.
