I noticed someone and I had a few mutual friends.

Hah yeah talk about 6 degrees of separation…

lol- of all places… one of the million threads on College Confidential.

@james11223 Maybe next week? Good for you to be able to login in!

I would venture that it’s safe to assume that all of us are not too far off from one another. Geographically and otherwise.

The number one factor that most of us make our colege decisions based on is location. It’s the reason that I didn’t go to Harvard when I was contacted by them. (Now I’m just bragging.)

Anyway, I’m in Rome, NY. So not far from you guys. You also hav to consider that we’re statistically likely to be mentally similar becuase of our shared mindset. We’re on this forum because we all care enough to actively await decisions, and posting in this thread becuase we all applied to the same school.

Anyone else notice a pattern?

is anyone who has gotten into ILR not a NY or international student?

@box, the user youngjeezy is from California

ooh good point. a lot of cali ppl besides youngjeezy havent heard. guess we’ll have to wait for next wk.

I’m from Boston!
btw is Cornell everyone’s first choice?
mehh. it sucks how most other schools don’t release decisions until well into May!

@box, yeah… I’m in San Diego!

@haeji, Cornell is my #1. I applied to some UC’s and heard back from most all of them. Also received full ride for Cal Poly but I’m not interested in attending.

By full ride do you mean tuition or tuition and living expenses?

@DivZero, tuition, housing, and other living expenses. My tuition is covered at all the UC’s.

EDIT: Honestly I’m not sure why I received the aid from Cal Poly because only one of my parents works and the family income is still above 150k.

I’m at BU too; I feel as though in a school this size, there might be a few of us :)

Getting nervous for CAS decisions to come out!

For anyone still waiting, just remember Schrodinger’s cat…

Until we open the letter, we simultaneously have been accepted and rejected. Only when we read our decision does one manifest itself.

Case and point, if you’re worried about whether you’ve been accepted, just never open your letter, and you can honestly say that you’ve been accepted to Cornell!

Kidding, of course. :)

Cornell is definitely my first choice. And I’m in Miami, FL (obviously) lol.

I’m beginning to think that because I am unable to log into housing and stuff that I got rejected. It makes a lot of sense, because from what I see most people who can log into housing are accepted or get their acceptance letters a day or so later. And the lady I talked to told me to call back tomorrow if I don’t receive my decision yet which leads me to believe that my decision has been made and is on the way.

@rux

Yeah I’m feeling the same way, what school are you applying too? All the CAS people who have been accepted thus far were able to log into housing well in advance of receiving their letter. I’m disappointed, I was really excited live in gorges Ithaca and eat all their delicious food. Oh well, I’ll live.

I applied to CHE. I was very excited as well. I was looking forward to running for Cornell and the coach there. It’s just very disappointing, cause I thought I had a good application. Not to sound conceited or anything, but I thought I had a decent chance. Oh well.

I applied to CAS as an int’l student.
I called the admissions office and they said they have a decision but they can’t tell me what it is. Also, they said the letter will be mailed next week.

Since they already made a decision for me and I can’t log on to housing,
isn’t it a sign of rejection for 100%?

dang… good luck to all of you.

@wynnmacau

Nope, it isn’t a sign of rejection. There have been people who were unable to log into housing even after they held their acceptance letters in their hands.

I hope they fix this housing thing so future applicants don’t have to go through this same experience >_<
