Official FALL 2012 Cornell Transfers

I also had a really tough time with my finaid app… I had to do both independent and regular app…but I could not complete the CSS profile

you couldn’t? Do you mind if I ask why not? And did they say they would accept your finaid application without it?

I PMed you :)

Hey guys. I just go my final grade from biology. Should I call and let them know what I got? Part of me knows that I’ve called way too much, but on the other hand, i feel like they may want to know this. I got an A for the final, but my mid term report was a C.

I would definitely call them! There’s no shame in calling too much and it can’t hurt. Better to do something than nothing. I would even ask them if they want a you to send a fax of a note signed by the teacher or something.

@Emveebeeare thanks for the feedback! I think I will definitely contact them :)

EVERYONE WHO IS NOT ABLE TO LOG INTO HOUSING:

Even though everyone has said it, I am proof that being unable to log into housing doesn’t necessarily mean you were rejected or that your application has not been processed. I was never able to log into housing and my last attempt was at exactly 10:30 pm last night. That being said, I received an email today at approximately 9:30 am saying i had been accepted into CALS as a Biology major. Do not fret, and good luck to all that are still waiting.

Long

Thank you timb0slice! That is such a relief! And congratulations!

Thank you. After lurking this thread for almost 2 months now without ever posting, let alone having an account, I became overly self-consciousness and pessimistic over not being able to log into housing and how that could potentially signify my rejection. So when I was accepted, i was not only happy about the acceptance, i was also happy that i could let both the members of CC and the lurkers like myself know that it truly doesnt mean the worst and there is no reason to be anything but positive and confident in yourself and your application. I will be more than happy to answer any questions.

sorry for the long post, i felt it was necessary.

Thanks for posting. I was in a similar situation. I was accepted, and was never able to log in to housing. Finally, a few days after I heard back, I was able to log in. Keep the faith everyone!

Thanks so much for posting that @timb0slice- I think that’s comforting to a large group of people on here with strong credentials.

Wow- very comforting. Thank you for posting!!!

I am still waiting for my aem acceptance e-mail…
I completed my final application on April 9.

Apparently, my documents have just been sent for admission review :S
Will this affect me somehow? What is that probability that an international student gets accepted? Good Luck to all of you guys in getting accepted :wink:
P.S. I am applying to the College of Arts and Sciences under a Mathematics/Physics Major

I just called. The person said all decisions of CAS will be sent next week, though she doesn’t know the exact date.

Good luck to all CAS applicants!

Thank you very much! you make me feel confident again!

@emveenbeeare

thank you! yeahhh. I honestly can’t get over the traditional campus setting and beautifull scenary cornell is going to provide me with!
i came up with a pros and cons list for cornell yesterday and honestly there are a lot more advamntages of being there!! i just don’t like how people tend to exaggerate…hehe. hmm since you’ve been here for two years already, can i just ask your reasons for transferring? is it the program?
im supposed to get my FA award next week…but am pretty nervous. i thought they were very generous but from what other people have posted it seems otherwise.

Also, my friend invited me for slope day…but too bad it’s right before our finals!!! :frowning:
ohhh and my BU friend and i were talking and he was saying how this year in particular is bad for BU? like i hear a lot of kids are transferring out?
my goodness. i don’t know if it’s associated with the bad press we have been getting! eesh

@anothershot

hmmm. honestly don’t worry too much yet…CAS is one of the last to send out their decisions! keep in mind i couldn’t log into housing until the day after they decided to accept me!

I am a CAS applicant. I have attempted to log in to housing and I received this message “Either your session has timed out or you are not currently logged in. Please visit the University login page to log in.” When people say that they cannot log into housing, is this the message that they are referring to?

OrlandoMagic- I got that exact same message. I would assume that that’s what they meant that they can’t log in.
