@James yeah that seems strange, but hey maybe you just seemed like a better fit at CAS than you did at UNC. Maybe it’s a sign that you belong at Cornell! Congrats on your acceptance.

Congrats irony and james!

@AdaKing: yes, I am an architecture applicant !! I’m transferring as a Junior, how about u? where r u from?

@sandoo: hello sandoo, the rate for acceptance in architecture is not that best but is not the worst in Cornell either, last year, from a total of a 127 transfer applicants, 13 were accepted, which means a rate of around 10%.

@miami4rmjax, I applied to CALS, AEM program, specializing in accounting and finance.
The Big Red Bag is still lying on my desk. lol

Im not complaining at all! ![]()
I still can’t believe it even happened… And good luck to everyone on this forum!! You guys are all amazing and I hope you all make it wherever you want to and thanks for all the congratulations! :)))

@sliu That’s awesome! My boyfriend is an accounting major down here in Miami and I hardly ever meet other prospective accountants. Best of luck to you! I can tell that we all want to get in so badly! Hopefully the adcoms recognize our passion! I applied to Human Ecology.

@miami4rmjax, haha, thanks! Is he doing the CPA track? Best of luck to you as well! I am getting so excited and nervous! BTW, which school are you transferring from? I go to Syracuse University.

@Cornellarch I am a freshman now at a LAC, cities major. It might be little chance for me since I am an international student (from China), and am not studying architecture now, though applied for 5-yr architecture program at Cornell.

Anyway…Just wanna get the result NOW no matter what it is and keep moving (towards my finals :P)

Hi @sliu41 ![]()
I’m also an AEM applicant still waiting for the decisions. are you transferring as sophomore or junior?

@sliu He is not doing the CPA track (much to my chagrin) because that would mean him having to do an extra semester before graduating and he is anxious to just graduate and get a job (he will be graduating next spring). He plans on completing the CPA courses while working as an accountant. Personally I disagree with his choice, but what can I say? It’s his choice to make. lol. That’s cool that you’re already in New York. That will probably look good for you! I am currently attending a no-name public school in Miami called Florida International University, but I will be transferring to University of Miami if Cornell rejects me. :)

@sangela856, heyyyy!
I am transferring as junior. HBU? And good luck to you!

I applied to Cornell as a transfer student for fall 2012.
Last week I submitted my mid-term report. (When will I get the letter?) And just now I was surfing the net, and found that for students who would like to major in Communication (including myself), there are a number of required courses that we have to complete prior to transfer. I realized I can’t complete “One full academic year of Introductory Biology (labs not required).” Am I still possible getting accepted??

(On the website) Required:
One full academic year of Introductory Biology (labs not required)
Two College Writing/English Composition courses or one writing/composition and Public Speaking
Statistics
Psychology or Sociology

This bothers me a lot… Thanks guys!

@miami4rmjax, haha, yeah, it’s tough to take the CPA track. Lots of extra work. I am planning to do an extra year cuz in NY, we need 150 credits to sit for the exam.
It would be awesome to go to UM as well! Congrats! Still, hope both of us can be accepted! BTW, can you log into housing? I’ve literally tried 100+ times, and I am tired of being told my account is not available at the moment lol

@sliu Yeah that is a lot of work, but I’m sure it’s worth it! Thanks for the congratulations! And no I can’t log in to housing. It is frustrating as I’ve tried a million times too, but I don’t think it’s that significant. Plenty of people get accepted without being to log in so let’s keep hope alive! lol. We will hopefully find out this week YAY!! Have you applied/gotten in anywhere else?

@Ironystilldreams when did you send in all your documents for financial aid?

Anyone else heard from FA yet?

Just wonder how many days it takes to get the letter after submitting the mid-term report?

Anyone who majors in Communication get in?

@ Jasmine6

Had all mine in by March 1st…

@miami4rmjax, Yay, let’s keep our hope alive!! I’ve only applied to Cornell and Georgetown. Haven’t heard back from Georgetown yet, guess i have to wait till mid-May. Cornell is definitely my first choice tho. D.C., might be a great chance for me as well, geographically speaking. :)

@miami4rmjax, “great change”, not necessarily in “great chance” lol
