Official FALL 2012 Cornell Transfers

Hey guys. I am new to the forum. I applied to College of Arts and Sciences Government major and still waiting for a decision. Meanwhile, wanted to make new friends, so this wait doesn’t feel that tardy. Does anyone have any idea when CAS is planning to notify people?

Just wanted to wish everyone luck. I’ve been especially enjoying Sundays of late, relishing in the fact that I do not have to make the dreaded, knots-in-my-stomach walk to the mailbox. You all know what I’m talking about.

Anyway, this week is the week for a lot of us, I’m sure. Best of luck to everyone. Big envelopes all around!

aww how nice of you @jkoby123! i think my wait is 3 more days if mail comes wednesday. this time next week it’ll be all over!

[‘This Is’ by Alex Silver and Jon Tai](<a href=“http://www.cornell.edu/video/?videoID=1260]'This”>http://www.cornell.edu/video/?videoID=1260)

guys i somehow came across this video.
it made me get SO excited about cornell…it’s soooooo beautiful!!!:)

@whatis,

Apparently the decisions will be mailed out this week so hopefully we receive our letters by Saturday at the latest. If not you will most likely get it Monday.

I’m really apathetic about my odds though. The acceptance rate is around 8%, combined with the fact that all people who have been accepted to CAS were able to log in to housing before receiving their letters. Alas, I’m already mentally preparing myself for disappointment, but all is well. Their loss.

I just want to be notified already, I need closure so I can move on with my life.

Wow, unexpected. This week ah? That’s good news. Good luck everyone!

@robertsrulez: from what I have read on this forum, there was a significant number of people who couldn’t log in to housing, but did get accepted. Let’s not loose hope until we receive a letter. I can’t log in either, but I really hope it’s not a bad sign.

@NotPhysics

I think CoE releases their decisions the latest

@Cornellarch
10% for AAP is quite slim. Before i stumbled upon this site i thought that the decision letters would be sent in april. So until a few days ago I had kind of given up, seeing as i haven’t got anything.

Looks like this may be the big week for a lot of people… No one get discouraged yet- as they say, it ain’t over till it’s over. Chin up and best wishes everyone!

@alyssa, are you expecting to hear back this week? today IS the 23rd…and don’t mean to sound like a traitor, but any idea when Penn notices go out?

That video was awesome!

Also, what’s the whole dining thing? I can’t find where to “log in” without full blown applying for a meal plan.

Also, do we have s full updated list of who applied to where, and decisions? Hopefully we’ll be adding some “ACCEPTEDs” to it soon!

@haeji93 I loved the video!! It sparked a fire in me! lol. I wanna go so desperately…

@sandoo: I know, 10% is quite small… the College of Architecture in Cornell is really small too, they are the smallest college on campus… the university that I am right now, every arch class has around 120 students, I heard that in Cornell the arch classes have around 50 students… anyway, I hope we can fit in this 10%!!! only one or two more weeks to wait, they said that decisions would be mailed on the first week of may, I just can’t wait anymore!!! I am living a total bipolar days for the last month… there are days that I am pretty happy and excited about Cornell but there other days that I feel so depressed because we still have to wait… this needs to stop !!! hahahaha

If you don’t like cold weather, don’t go to Cornell. It’s almost may, and Ithaca is covered in Snow!

Can anyone log in to housing??

I still cannot log into housing and haven’t heard anything from Cornell. Good luck to me and everyone.

Anyone here ski or snowboard? I heard it’s pretty easy to catch bus to the mountains. It’s weird but I love snow and this year has been pretty bad for skiers.

Seems more AAP applicants here!
Good luck to everyone! Hope we all get in!
@Cornellarch @sandoo @Adaking!!

@Adaking r u from China?
I’m from Chinaaaaa… And I know another Chonese girl who’s applying to AAP as well.

@Chris I haven’t heard anything from Penn and haven’t talked to anyone who has yet either. What about you? Last year the bulk of Penn’s decisions went out in mid-May so I’m not discouraged quite yet haha.

Anyone on here get anything from CAS today?!
