Official Fall 2012 University of Michigan transfer thread

you should probably call for a quicker answer

Is there no deadline for fall transfers?

it was march 1st

It was february 1st

oh yeah my fault. you right! february 1st!

anyone hear anything

^
got admitted yesterday.
submit on Feb. 1st, junior transfer, international applicant. major in math.

best wishes!

gooood! do they send an email to let you know it’s online or do I need to check WA?

^They use the Email to notify. No need to check WA too often…good luck!

I recieved my acceptance 12 days ago. I currently go to a top 50 LAC and got in with a 3.3. I was deferred then ultimately rejected in high school.

^When did you apply and how many credits are you coming in with?

Jan 17th and 64 credits

okay I have a problem. what if my school “forgot” to fill out the college report form and just sent it blank to all my schools? is it going to hurt me if I just found out and the schools get it late? I don’t know if Michigan requires it but I applied to Cornell and johns Hopkins also and they do. please say it won’t affect me

did you get an email saying that you are in?
or did you just check from the wolverine access?

@inmacdonald- in my instance I happened to check wolverine access around 6am and it had a link to view my decision, so I clicked on it. I did receive an email but I did not get it until after noon est. So I think I posted this earlier but here is what UMichigan says will happen:

All admissions decisions are sent electronically from Michigan.Admissions@umich.edu with the subject line “Your University of Michigan Admissions Decisions”. You will also receive your decision in the mail. In your notification, you will fall into one of a few decision categories: admit, defer, waitlist, or deny. The admit, waitlist, and deny categories represent final decisions which you will be able to see on your Web App Status Page through the link labeled “View Decision”. If you have fallen into the defer category, your application will require additional consideration before we make a final decision and will not appear on the application status link.

I got in 2 days ago (LSA) and am soooo excited!!! I applied last year (as a freshman coming from a high school in pakistan) but was waitlisted. I’ll be a sophomore in the fall at michigan. I found out when i got an email regarding credit evaluation and it said i got in! I got my “official” admission email like 4 hours later…weird

When did you apply and how many credits are you coming in with shazeb93?

hm… curious, did anyone get denied yet?

i know of a couple people that have got denied unfortunetly…still waiting to hear back for my app though!

oh thats unfortunate…
i was just wondering if they hold all the rejections til last…

i still haven’t heard back either!
