Got wait listed from Chapel Hill also applied to Richmond and Vandy yet to receive those decisions. So I started this thread to share stat and stress....I got a
GPA:3.6 first semester and a 3.8 second semester at a App State when i submited the midterm reports
SAT :1760 on the SAT including a 700 on reading, 780 U.S History and 800 on World History for my SAT II i am concerned about my high school record barely got a 3.0 in the two years of high school but i did take 11 AP/IB in those two years at the 75th best high school in the country .Also have some E.C including working at the Democratic National Convention, and as a interning for Governor of MA also a URM ...... anyone else get wait-listed what where your stats ?

I got waitlisted too.

3.85 first semester freshman year.
3.7 high school GPA

SAT was really bad. 1020 two part. I think that is primarily what killed me. My EC’s are pretty solid, I also only sent in 1 letter of rec.

UNC is the only school I applied to, so I’m going to wait it out.

I got wait-listed as well. I’m currently a second semester freshman.
4.0 first semester GPA
3.75 high school GPA
SAT score around 1650
Ok praying that I get in. This is my dream school! I was rejected last year when I applied as a freshman, so at least it’s an improvement

any thoughts? i know the acceptance rate off the wait list isn’t that great.

thanks! and good luck everyone!

im kind of proud of myself because i am on a same boat with smart guys
best of luck to all of us

got in to Richmond …so the hell with UNC haha

I was also wait listed (obviously). I played 2 varsity sports in high school, plus 1 outside of school. I was in National Honor Society, BETA, SODA, SOHO and other school clubs like Spanish Club and Peer Leaders. I graduated with an Advanced Diploma and a Community Service Seal. I worked all throughout high school and maintained my grades. I had a 3.8 high school GPA. I took Honors/AP courses. I had a 28 ACT. I also applied with a rec letter from the Board of Visitors, college professor, and high school counselor. I had a 3.8 GPA first semester and a 4.0 GPA this semester. I am a triple legacy at Chapel Hill. Obviously I was devastated, and confused as to why I didn’t get in. Being out of state may have ruined my chances. However, I did get into the University of Virginia…so I’m going to take that offer. Good luck to y’all.

got accepted!!!

Still haven’t gotten in.

Got accepted too!!!

I got accepted!!! I’m so excited!

I still haven’t heard anything either
