I can’t log in to the payment page. @michelleeeeeee, you know the definite time/day that the decision is being released?

sorry for all the posts at once haha - cc somehow had to approve them first so they all came out at once
@xxgoop i think they’re coming out the 13th at 5pm est? correct me if i’m wrong

i called this morning and the lady said they should be within the week…did anyone get confirmation that its tomorrow?

i heard only .000000001% of transfers are getting in this year

well that would be only a fraction of a person!

Based on previous Common Data Set info, it runs around 5-6% transfer acceptance each year for all fall applicants. Last year, they took roughly a 60-40 M:F split for those given acceptance. It doesn’t mention what the numbers are for spring transfers unless they’re lumped into this tiny number which makes the odds even worse. So, yeah, 0.000000001% is about right :-). They should just send a thank you for donating $75 to the Brown discretionary fund as soon as you hit send on the application fee.

All kidding aside, if they really had no intention of taking anyone, they wouldn’t spend this much time keeping us waiting.

@kwontum Yeesh. Seeing the data displayed like that really puts things into perspective. :((
Good luck to everyone who has applied! I guess we’ll all find out soon enough.

To anyone whose admission term changed to Spring 2015: did you apply for financial aid?

Can anyone else still not log in to the main page?

If you can’t login, you should contact Brown so that you’ll be able to find out the decision when it’s available.

I still can’t. I called IT this morning and they told me that the “database is being updated” but I should be able to log in tomorrow. I don’t know if that means admissions was updating something, or IT was updating something or what… the guy on the phone didn’t seem to know.

@artandbaseball I still can’t log into the main paige

Hi all,

I don’t mean to stir the pot even further but I was looking through the Brown 2013 Transfer thread, and one poster mentioned how he could see his netID and brown email address assigned to him on the myAccount portal, before he even got his decision. I looked through the portal but no email address has been assigned to me.

Can some of you check out your portals and let us know what information is available to you there?

Here’s the link to it: https://webapps.brown.edu/myaccount

@drasagon I can see a Bru ID. I dont know what that is though

I have a net ID but no email address.

So both of you have the bottom three fields filled out, but no title or email address?

@drasagon yeah…

yes, that is accurate on my end.

I’m assuming that we should know by Thursday, then? Does anyone have updated information? This is getting ridiculous!
Luckily I hear back from Wellesley and Wesleyan tomorrow, but I had to let MoHo go because all of the other schools I’m looking at are so ridiculously late to the decision party :P

Brown, just freaking accept me already!!! I am rich.

What other institutions have you guys heard back from? So far I’ve been accepted to Duke University, Stony Brook and Binghamton university. Although, Brown is my top choice, I am not overly excessive and probably won’t feel too bad if I don’t get in.
