<p>To all of the out of state kids…what made UW appeal to you? I live in kirkland (15 minutes from seattle and grew up surrounded by huskies and the CS department is top-notch, so it’s obvious for me) but I am curious as to why so many people are so interested in UW?..</p>

<p>@ninrash well to be honest i fell in love with the campus before i knew anything about the school. its just absolutely breathtaking and it looks exactly like hogwarts and I’m the biggest harry potter nerd ever hahaha. then when i started to research it i realized how good of a school it is and i got doubly intrigued! I also liked that it was in a large city and was a large school! everything about it is just amazing and i can’t wait! </p>
<p>in other news tho… for the admitted student previews are we going to be given a date to attend or can we pick any of the dates that are provided on the website to attend?</p>
<p>In a suburb of Dallas, Texas and didn’t get a letter today. Scared and worried… Hopefully tomorrow!! I don’t get why some people in Houston area, and Oklahoma are getting letters, but Dallas area isn’t. @longhornnation did you get a letter? </p>
<p>S got the gold Big envelope today!!! Accepted to. Econ as a purple and gold scholar with a total of $18.000 in scholarship… it is not much… But sooo happy!!!</p>

<p>OOS from Southern California here. Rejected with a 2190 SAT score and close to a 4.0 GPA and over 10 APs… I’ve been accepted to a couple schools with closer to 20% acceptance rates, so I was pretty bummed when I opened this letter. Regardless, congratulations to all of you that have been accepted - it is an amazing school! :)</p>
<p>When can we expect the admissions packet from UW and the DA letter/email?</p>
<p>@SD2018ad im pretty sure a few days to a week after you receive the big envelope, you get the packet. In that comes a little slip deciding if you get into the DA or not.</p>
