Official Fall 2014 Decisions Thread

@Penang118 what did you mean when you said that transcript trick doesn’t work ?? If unofficial transcript load with your student no. filled in then as per thread you should get in. But if it doesn’t then it means that you got rejected. Fret not cuz it may start loading in a day or two as it happened for other people.

It’s such a long wait for International students…I got accepted by UCD, UCI, UMASS, UIC, BENTLEYU, BRYANT…need UW to top it all…

international- waiting sucks

My son got his acceptance letter on Saturday (we are about 30 min. from Seattle) and at that time his unofficial transcript didn’t load. Just checked again tonight and his transcript now loads. If your unofficial transcript loads, I think that is a really good sign. If not, it may not mean anything. Good luck everyone!!

@dishkyaoon When i clicked on “Unofficial UW Transcript”, it says “The page cannot be displayed”

@Rusty34 Is UW-Seattle your top choice??

@Penang118 it means either you are rejected or decision of your file has not been updated yet. I hope it is the latter.

@dishkyaoon thanks for the quick reply.

I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA, top 10% of class (my high school is most competitive, according to my school profile) and my scores are:
SAT 1950
CR 600
W 590
M 760

TOEFL 109/120
Reading 29
Listening 26
Speaking 24
Writing 30

What do you think my chances are? Do they give more leeway for the SAT CR and W scores since I am an international student whose first language is not English?

@Penang118 I have no idea about admission chances…but your stats seem good enough…wait a day or two and try transcript trick again

@dishkyaoon it’s one of my most realistic choices.

@Rusty34 same here  uw became realistic for me when I saw unofficial transcript otherwise I was not so sure

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHH SO HAPPY NOW MY TRANSCRIPT LOADS !!! @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

PLZ AFFIRM ME, AM I ADMITTED?

@nutter398 congratulations you seems to have done it…lol <:-P

@Timwantscollege @Coriander23 @nolives @Husky95 @literally and to all those who can load their transcripts

What does the “Status” say on your transcript ??? On mine it says nothing. It’s just like— Status ---- (blank after the word Status)

My transcript loads (technically instate for tuition purposes, but living overseas), but the status is blank and the transcript has no details other than the years completed of each course, foreign language level, and math level. Is that normal?

@dishkyaoon @howabout no. I have the exact same description.

@Penang118 hey, I’m from Malaysia too… And I am from Penang :stuck_out_tongue:

This is weird, I don’t know if I should ask whether we might know each other or not. Either way, good luck!

Hopefully we will both get in :)

If you find this any good, tell me by hitting like (below)…I recently found this info (#nolife)

About your student number
Your seven-digit student number is issued during the admission process. This number is yours alone, and will be your student number forever. If you order a UW transcript 30 years from now, you will be identified by your student number.
The first two digits of your student number are the year you were ADMITTED to the UW. The third digit indicates the quarter you were admitted: 1 for summer quarter; 2 and 3 for autumn, 4 for winter, and 5 for spring. The rest of the digits are random.

So,I think…transcript=100% chance of acceptance.
Some applicants may already know this but this info was new for me.(intl.) I got it from UW help center site.

EDIT: proof for unofficial transcript trick hypothesis

@dishkyaoon I love you.
