Wow this is getting real… Get ready everyone

BTW. ppl who got in, did your application status change from “Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review.” or did it just stay the same?

@Shap95 @joonlee @bulldogs3 ^ I’d like to know as well

@welletshope and @william95 I’m going to be a Communication major. My application status said stayed the same. This is the email I got:

Congratulations on your admission to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University for the Fall 2014 semester!
Shortly you will have access to your decision online, and thereafter, will be receiving your Cornell University welcome packet that outlines the next steps in securing your space in our Fall 2014 class. Review the packet information carefully and follow all deadlines for sending your deposit, securing housing, dining and attending orientation. Your admission is contingent upon your successfully completing this semester. Be sure to submit your final transcript as soon as those grades are available.
If you are applying for Financial Aid, contact their office (607-255-5145) to make sure that your application is complete for review.
To review your preliminary CALS Transfer Credit Evaluation (which also shows the major to which you were admitted) please visit the following website: http://oap.cals.cornell.edu/. Take a moment to review your credit evaluation; if you have questions regarding the credit evaluation, please contact the CALS Registrar (607-255-2257). Specific questions pertaining to the major and its major requirements should be directed to the department. Please note that if you’ve been admitted to Biological or Environmental Engineering, you must contact the department directly for a credit evaluation.
Finally, information about August orientation can be found on the new student programs website: <a href=“Tatkon Center for New Students | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University”>Tatkon Center for New Students | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University; and your to-do list can be found on the new students website: <a href=“Welcome - Transfer, Fall 2023 - New Students”>http://newstudents.cornell.edu/transfer/
We look forward to your joining our college this Fall.

Sincerely,
CALS Admissions

@jooniee congrats pal! I haven’t received my decision yet, but it says that my application was sent for review.

Hey guys, for those who got admitted, what is Cornell’s reply due date?

Can you guys check out the CALS evaluation page again, because All I am getting right now is an error message.

@wellletshope, I just checked for you and also received an error. Although I am a CHE applicant, I was actually able to log in the other day when I tried it out, weirdly enough. Like everyone else, I got a “You are not a CAS accepted student” message at the bottom. Hope this helps. :)

In addition to my recent post, I also wanted to ask all of you in this discussion a few questions. I also try to add stuff about my candidacy pertaining to CHE at Cornell so that veryone can get a better picture of my application. Here are the questions:
1.) Is anybody else pre-health and/or pre-med?
2.) Besides your academic records, what are the major and very compelling ECs that you wrote about and/or highlighted in your application?
3.) How many recommendations did you have written on your behalf? I forgot to note in my stats post that I had four; one from my Bioethics professor at Case Western (he was faculty in the medical school, which could look really good), one from my first-year writing tenured professor of sociology at Case Western, one from an advisor of a club I was involved with at Case Western dedicated to mental health awareness (Active Minds), and and one last one from my Psychology instructor at Rutgers, where I currently attend.
4.) Did anyone else write to your admissions counselor(s) or the Undergraduate Admissions Office to further explain any situations or circumstances? I sent an email with an additional statement attachment which detailed how I got to this point of wanting to transfer to a third university (it’s a really long story, but I will tell if you PM me).

Thanks everyone! :D

Since the application status site says this…

“Fall transfer applicants will be able to view their admission decision online on a rolling basis. We will contact fall transfer applicants by email with instructions for viewing their decisions online when their decision is available. Please note that your decision will not be posted on your Cornell online application status account, so please follow the instructions that will be outlined in our email to you.”

…I wonder if CAS too will be sending some online instead of their traditional snail mail. I mean, isn’t Cornell doing that whole paperless initiative?

@TransferFall14 do you still want us to answer even if we aren’t pre-health/premed?

@wellletshope Sure!

Has anyone applied to CS engineering at Cornell? It seems like there aren’t many applicants for this major.

I applied to CS engineering at Cornell!

Apparently last year, most COE students didn’t here back until early June.

Hey everyone, hope we all hear soon. This is my second time applying :] ILR.

@TransferFall14 In a nutshell founded a sole proprietorship, an LLC and NGO all of which I was the president/chairman of.
