@MYOMOO Yes, last year RD and got denied (obviously haha)

Hi there, I’m new here! I applied to CALS for Biological Sciences. I feel home here already knowing I am not the only biting off their fingernails in anticipation of hearing back about admissions decisions. So I’m curious, if I am able to view this transfer/credit page showing how my credits transferred into CALS, and showing my accepted major as Biological Sciences, is that any indication of being accepted?

@william95 no worries Will, second time here as well. xD

@MYOMOO actually, if it makes you feel any better, this fin aid system seems the same as the one that NYU uses, and in that case I remember it was an indication of acceptance if you seen your year at al. (most finaid applications get denied at NYU, it definitely feels like it haha) So your denied financial aid might be good sign? My point is that this financial aid site should not worry you!

For my financial aid page:

[Name]
Financial Aid

Select Aid Year to View

There is no financial aid information found.

@Naylien did you apply for finaid?

@reneesydaisy are you GT? I can’t tell for certain but if Im not mistaken, you would be the first non GT to see it, so it is definitely not a bad sign :)

did you apply for finaid? what do you see on the finaid decision website?

@reneesydaisy I hope you don’t mind all my questions, but can you log into housing?

@reneesydaisy I’m curious too.

@wellletshope Thank you man!
@william95 This is also my second time… Good luck man! Wish we all get in!

@wellletshope I didn’t do anything for financial aid other than put Cornell down on my FAFSA.

@Naylien Did you indicate on your application that you want to be considered for finaid? Do you have anything on your finaid to do list? (I apologize for all the questions, but Im curious)

does fin aid “inquiry access denied” indicates addmission ?

@wellletshope I am not a GT, this is my first time applying to Cornell. I’d be transferring as a junior from a community college…I can’t see anything as far as a financial aid decision goes, it says no information found. Then again, I’m still in the process of figuring out all my financial aid stuff. I have a rather complicated situation!

I don’t know how to log into the housing website…does anyone have a link?

@qusibanigejian well the admission process is need-blind, which means admissions staff is no concerned with financial status of any applicant… so it probably means you don’t have access to it yet. It’s just my opinion :)

@reneesydaisy this would be the magic housing link: housingweb.campuslife.cornell.edu/AuthenticatedAPPID/site/cornell/SignInCornell.aspx

@wellletshope it says my ID type doesn’t have access to that page…

@reneesydaisy Here’s the link to the housing website
<a href=“Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University”>Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University;

Click on the second “Log in” under “Undergraduate students without a NetID”

By the way, what exactly do you see when you login in to https://transeval.cals.cornell.edu/
I’m also applying to the Biological Sciences Major in CALS so I’m curious.

@andypopins I see:

"Welcome Renee Staffeld!!

Your Major: Biological Sciences

If you have any questions about the major you were assigned email-" blah blah bla

And then there is this link to my transfer eval which shows how all of my credits transfer in but don’t include the credits that count for my major…

What do you see Andy? Is this your first year applying?

@reneesydaisy I’ve linked you to a picture of what it looks like.

http://oi59.■■■■■■■.com/1zyfy3q.jpg

Basically there is a blank where my major should be and at the bottom is says “Our records do not show you as an accepted student in CALS.”

And yes, this my first year applying and i’m applying for a junior transfer.

I’m guessing that I didn’t get accepted since we’re applying for the same major and yours says something different.
