Just got mine. But there is a lot of stuff missing, stuff I sent out back in in early January.
@CardinalZenn, I emailed them about missing materials and they replied that they will still be processing materials for a few weeks so no need to worry if you definitely sent it.

@canigetsomehelp
Thank you! I was definitely worried for a while.
@puncherkid It seems you are almost graduating. I am just curious why you are transferring in this case, as Brown won’t take more than 2 years of credits and you may postpone your graduation for 1 or 2 years…
@Melody2015 Thank you for your reply!
Actually the credit system in China is so different from that in America - if I were to earn a bachelor’s degree in China, I would have to earn like 200+ credits… So it’s quite normal there to earn 62 credits in one year.
When I transferred into OSU, all my transferable credits were recalculated such that their total was approximately 27. And now I’m a sophomore in OSU with 42 credits earned and 17 in progress.
I believe Brown will be aware of that… A lot of transfer students from my country succeeded in transferring with a “considerable number” of credits. lol
BTW what do yo think of my chance
I called Brown, and they said give it (at least) two weeks before sending another one. They’re still processing the forms.
@transferringbud are you referring to individual documents or getting a portal log-in?
@puncherkid I don’t really chance people but I think your profile is quite impressive.
However, one potential concern is that your current major seems a bit too pre-professional. I am not sure how Brown AOs would perceive that because MCM is not as pre-professional as a journalism major; it may come down to how you write your essays and explain your reasoning of transferring.
Anyone else’s professors having difficulty uploading recommendations via the Common App? My professor insists he has submitted the recommendation yet his rec status is at “started”. Huge pain now that the recs are technically late.
@Transfer1011 I think you should contact the CommonApp Support team, or let your professor contact them if possible.
@Melody2015 Thank you so much! I think I well explain the reasons why I hope to transfer in my essays. Besides, MCM in Brown also puts an emphasis on “the integration of theory and practice”- that’s what they say about the major on the website.
@actvalour I was referring to individual document. It might be faster to call the school ask directly about the portal…
@transferringbud, I called yesterday and confirmed that my log-in hasn’t been sent yet, but will be due to rolling distribution (just fyi for anyone else still waiting).
Turns out they sent me my account nearly two weeks ago and that I somehow managed to miss it first time and let it crawl down my inbox…I’m sure none of you are as careless as me, but in case you are, I suggest searching your inbox for “Brown.”
Any of you still have materials missing? I know they said they’ll be processing stuff for another 2 to 3 weeks but it’s been two months since my HS transcript was mailed. I think I’m just going to send another.
@20transfer17 As I already posted a day or two ago, Brown said give it another week or two before you submit it again. I called them earlier this week.
Hi everyone, fellow transfer applicant here.
I think it’s just taking them a while to process everything. I sent in one of my forms weeks ago and it just recently showed up as processed (and I’m still waiting for them to process my college transcripts.)
Also, if anyone still hasn’t gotten their bannerweb/portal info, maybe try sending an e-mail instead of calling. I sent an e-mail a couple weeks ago and a few days later I had it.
Does anyone know when decisions will be released?
yeah it is taking a while to process documents… I’m wondering if there’s a deadline by which the processing should be done or if we should just keep waiting
Has anybody else not gotten a login thingy to check your documents are all in?
