Same boat as you, @Jigglypoof. They give out log-in keys on a rolling basis depending on when you submitted your app, so that should be why it’s taking some time.
I emailed them a few days ago and they referred me to the Brown help desk, which they said would set me up with login info. Was a bit confused because everyone else is just having their emailed to them.
Has Brown confirmed receiving anyone’s mid-term report? There isn’t any indication of the mid-term report on the portal.
I believe they don’t track mid-term reports.
So according to my Brown portal they have yet to receive my writing supplement and instructor evaluations… Is this also the case for anyone else?
@disoriented128 Yep, me too. It says it’s missing my supplement, instructor evaluations and my secondary school transcript. I called today to ask about it and apparently they’re still processing. The lady told me I should wait another 1-2 weeks until they’re done. But then I got an email saying that says “The best way to be sure that your application will be completed in time for consideration is to arrange for replacement items to be sent via email or fax.” So I’m not sure if I’m supposed to wait like the lady said or try to resend my stuff…
I haven’t even gotten a login yet, @jellymuffin , so you’re still doing better than me. I’m guessing they’re really swamped.
@Jigglypoof I see, thanks for letting me know. I guess I’m just being paranoid because I saw in a previous Brown transfer post one of the applicants didn’t even get an acceptance/rejection status and just got “incomplete” instead with no prior notice. We’ll just wait then ^^
Hey guys! I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if I have a chance to transfer into Brown for Fall 2015?
Stats:
College: Emerson College
High School: #1 Public high school in the country at the time (magnet school for math, science and tech)
High School GPA: 4.0 W (my high school doesn’t show unweighted)
SATs: 2360 (R 800 W 790 M 770)
SAT IIs: Math II 770 US History 800 Lit 800
College GPA: 4.0
Mid-term GPA: 4.0
Extracurriculars: President of a Literary Magazine, copyeditor for another, graphic designer for a club for women in film, writer for a satirical newspaper/blog, member of a screenwriting club
Strengths: SATs/SAT IIs, professor recs (I think), college grades, maybe extracurriculars? Idk, reason for transferring, essays
Weaknesses: definitely high school grades (I’m a humanities person who was stuck at an advanced tech school-- terrible fit; but still, not good), intro courses
You already submitted your app and you have a 4.0… Stop, this isn’t a chance thread.
Just had all my documents marked as received in the portal. They finally did it after more than a month lol
it happened to me as well. The lady told me was to resend my high school transcript(which I did), but the recommendation letter, they probably received it but there is some systematic error not showing up. I ended up email them with the screenshots of approve from Common app
Ah finally! Wow I never thought I’d be this happy about the status of my received documents. I guess I was stressed about sending everything again haha
anyone else get a message from college board about IDOC today? I’m confused because according to brown my css and fafsa are complete
Is anyone else seeing a Decision button when they look at their bannerweb page? When I review my application, it has a box that says Decision and a little ‘Click Here’ button. When I click, I just get sent to a page that says admission decisions are not yet available and to go to the Undergraduate Admission web site for specific times and dates. Also, all of my materials have now been marked as received. I doubt I’ll get accepted but I wonder if they’re releasing some decisions soon…
Anyone STILL not have a portal link?
@timidnotion I recommend e-mailing the admissions office. They’ll give you the number to call the help desk where you’ll get everything worked out. It’s what I had to do.
Does anyone know when admission decisions will be made?
On application tracking site, under “Received” all the dates are there; however, in the “Status” column, only the “Application Fee” and SAT/ACT rows have things written in them. Specifically “Paid” and “Requirement Fulfilled,” respectively. Does anyone have other things written in the “Status” column?
In my SAT/ACT row it’s “Waived” because I am transferring from an international university and I haven’t taken SAT.
