Official Fall 2015 UCSB Transfer Thread.

Hi guys!!

So I just got accepted today (03/26/15)in the afternoon, and registered CC to share my stats :))

major: Linguistics
GPA: 3.93
Tag: Yes
IGETC: will be completed in spring 2015
Applied : UCLA, UCB, UCSB, UCI, UCR, CSULB, CSUN
Accepted: UCSB, CSULB

Good luck to everyone else!!

@futureuclabruin1 I was wondering the same thing, I see that for some reason they have me as off campus, and i think my offer is less because of it.

please let me know if you find out any new info about this

Mechanical Engineer here still waiting…
My GPA is good (3.9) but I jammed 6 classes in the last semester

@ODESZA It doesn’t seem like any engineering students on this thread have been accepted yet. And I completely sympathize with you! Due to scheduling constraints I ended up with 4 computer science classes all in this semester. Needless to say, I spend a lot of time either in the school’s computer lab or working on my laptop at home…

My stats
Major: neuroscience
GPA: 3.2
Igetc: done
Prereqs: done with calc 2 and (for some schools) molecular bio after this semester.
Applied: UCR (TAG) UCD UCB UCSB (bio psych since they don’t offer Neurosci) UCLA UCSD UCSC JHU Amherst
Accepted: UCR (TAG)

I don’t know how to feel about my chances for SB

@1YearTransferer‌ If you’re adamant about going to SB, you should definitely appeal. Your stats are amazing and I can’t think of any reason to explain your rejection. SD is also an amazing school, and I think you mentioned you applied to UCLA as well. If your personal statement is decent, I have no doubt you’ll be admitted. Good luck and don’t beat yourself down.

Come on! Any engineering major got accepted or rejected??? This is so frustrating!

@DoubleEguy‌ lol my thoughts exactly

@UCmanny‌ @futureucla I think it may be because you put off-campus on your fafsa app. You can always log in to fafsa and change it to on campus. I also put off-campus because I thought I would get more money maybe I should change mine as well because I will likely live on campus. One of us should call and ask!

@futureuclabruin ^^^ that is for you to read sorry misspelled your username.

I got accepted on 3/23

Major: Economics and Accounting
GPA: 3.89 after Fall 2014, 3.9 after Winter 2015

Pre-requisites: All were completed by Fall 2014
Applied: UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCI, UCSB, UCR, and UCSC
Accepted: UCSD, UCSB, UCR

I’m already stressed trying to decide between UCSB and UCSD… ugh.

@hopeful710 Which one would be a better choice as far as job opportunities go? I heard UCSB’s econ/acct has good recruiting but then UCSD has San Diego city.

@jaxtransfer‌ I put on campus housing, but I don’t know if it’s the same case with @UCmanny‌

IGETC: Will be completed by Spring 2015
