Congrats! I guess the only people waiting are the engineers. They have had my transcript for three weeks, still no reply :(.

Congrats, yay another acceptance! By any chance, any girls here looking for a roommate for a residence hall, preferably Jester? I’d rather not wait until i’m randomly given a roommate.

Im suprised they still have room lol…

I dont mean to double post. Payam, I just got off the phone with advisor and she told that the engineering applications are currently being reviewd, they are taking a bit longer than expected due to the large pool. She said that we should get a decision by next friday.

ampzor, they do still have room. I called housing yesterday and she said I will most definitely get a contract since I applied early January. She said they are sending out transfer contracts in batches.

I just got accepted to my first choice.

Congratulations! You have been admitted to your first-choice major in the Cockrell School Of Engineering ( Aerospace Engineering ) at UT Austin. Discover what to do next to begin your Longhorn experience.

Good luck to every one.
p.s. I called admission office and I found out they don’t count plus/minus sign so B+ is B which worked against me since I had a B+.

Dude i got in too for my first choice, mechanical engineering!!

amazing! I hope to see you in campus lol are u planning to register for the “optional” orientation?

Not sure yet lol. Im still letting it all sink in. I still have to research a bit because I really didn’t think that I would get in. I was planning on going to A&M but, since I got accepted to UT, I have to go check out housing and such.

I don’t know about Mechanical but UT is ranked among top 7 in Aerospace+ Austin is way better than c.station:X

I might actually switch to aerospace after my first semester. Im going to see if I really like mechanical engineering. I have always loved aircraft and dreamed to work for lockheed. If anything, I will be working on the mechanical aspect of turbine engines.

Congratulations!

ok i really need someones help. i know it’s ridiculously late, but i was just wondering if i can still apply for on-campus housing? I was originally suppose to live west campus hoping that prices would go down but it’s still going to cost me $1500-$2000 more for the year than living in dorms. also i can room with my friend who applied a few months ago. I don’t mind living in jester. i was just wondering if they will still have room available for me?
and i understand i should have applied back when i finished my application. but i didn’t so i can’t do anything about it now. i just want to know what i can do from this point.

I was accepted to my second choice major: Liberal Arts. My first choice major was Advertising

I finished my 30 hours in the spring semester at The Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan where I majored in Advertising and Marketing Communications.

Stats:

2 okay essays
Secretary of a marketing club
Volunteer experience

In State

I am excited to be a longhorn but not excited about another application process for internal transfer. I guess Communications had largely filled up by the time applicants working on their 30 hours were admitted

Has anyone had better luck with the College of Communications?

wow you didnt get in with a 3.97 gpa? wierd, i thought you would get in for sure!

iwnt2bleedorange:

i can’t believe that u didn’t get in! I was accepted to the advertising department with a 3.9 gpa and i only have one letter of recommendation and no resume.

i am transferring from utsa, not capped though. and i finished my 30 hours in spring, so you and i were in very similar situation. your stat is stronger than mine. anybody knows how this happen?

Accepted to McCombs with a 3.87 with 32 credits (all 5 five indicators courses completed), only one “B” in Calculus 2, 1 great recommendation from accounting teacher, mild essays (not stunning), great resume.
