Official Fall Transfer 2009

moonwatcher123,

i was told from the admission office that international transfer students would hear their decision on 27th and 28th April.

I guess ill let you guys know

The rejection page-

The exact same as the acceptance page, except instead of a guy with a sign they just leave him out. the rejects look until all hope is lost, then log onto these forums to see if there is a secret way to find the Representative

Nate_Dawg- Oh lord, I really don’t want to know what that page looks like :(

Anyone who applied to the School of Undergraduate Studies heard yet? My guess is we’re the last to hear.

I just called UT Transfer Admissions and asked when we’d be notified. He asked if I had more than 30 hours and I told him “yes”. He then said, “Late April to mid-May”. That may just be the answer they are told to give (just to cover themselves?) and the person that talked to the lady that said April 15-20 might have been a little more exact about the date. I don’t know, but I’m sick to my stomach waiting!

we all are…

U.T. won’t let me transfer Astronomy for some weird reason. The only reason I can think of is that there might not be an equivalent class at U.T.

If you guys are REALLY curious what the acceptance page looks like, <a href=“ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs”>ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs;

Congratulations to all who got accepted and best of luck to all who are waiting.

Edacious, do you mind posting your EFC and how much your recieved? Thanks!

UT determined my EFC to be $780. I got a Texas Public Education Grant (Resident), Pell Grant, Partial Tuition Award, and a University Tuition Grant-Undergraduate. These are all need-based.

Are you going to live on-campus? If so, did financial aid cover that too? Thanks =D!

I’m currently planning all my expenses and I’m trying to take financial aid into consideration.

No, I will be living off-campus. It will be cheaper since I can control the costs. Financial aid covered room and board with loans (federal subsidized loans), but not grant money. I’m thankful tuition is fully covered otherwise it would not be financially feasible to attend.

Eric, you said your friend only had 2 of the business indicator courses completed. Was it Cal 1 and BCIS or was it a different mix of the 5?

Hey Clint, I’m curious why you sent in your high school transcript?

Camillesays, I’m thinking it was Cal 1 and BCIS because those are the two required for 30+ hours.

I’m a little bummed nobody else found out today…

Good new for tomorrow… perhaps.

@Edacious
Thank you very much!

@Camillesays
I really have no clue… force of habit? I think I was just being cautious for some reason.

Eric: Ok, I was just wondering because I know some people still apply without the necessary business indicator courses. My friend, who also had a 3.8, applied w/o cal 1 and obviously was denied.

Clint:Ok good you scared me for a second. I wouldn’t even know how to get my transcript. My high school does not exist anymore!

I thought the mccomb’s website says if you don’t have business indicator courses, then they won’t even consider you. Its auto-rejection. So thats probably why your friends didn’t get in.

Yes it is auto rejection. I was just saying that some people still apply without.

anyone else hear yet? :)

Nothing yet, keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow.
