Official Feb Science Thread

I thought it was much harder than the last time I took it. (June 2012). I got a 31 on it last time, and I'd be ecstatic for a 28/29 this time. What does everyone else think?

I did pretty well to be honest. I skipped over the student vs student question because that’s the toughest part for me. When I came back to it, I had to guess on two questions because of time and just the sheer “toughness” of those questions.

I think the can and the four students’ thoughts on it was the hardest passage. So glad there weren’t any conflicting scientist viewpoints passages!!

what is the answer for the concentration difference between intracellualr and extracellualr? I put na+ but not so sure

I put whatever the one in the middle was, I think K+?

Overall, I thought it was easier than the science I took in October 2011. The student passage was much harder. I had a little trouble because I accidentally switched the frequencies of Dye G and Dye R so I had to go back and find the opposite of all my answers, that was so nerve-racking. But I think I did well. It was a true REASONING test this time around.

There was no conflicting viewpoints passage? Which passage had the 7 questions? Did they replace it with the 4 students passage?

I mean there was no passage with two scientists debating a certain topic. I guess you could count the 4 students as conflicting…

@michelle was the G dye the shorter one or the taller one? I’m still nervous about that.

G is the shorter one because accoding to the passage the G insinificant over 550

one the ion the na+ less 1/20 or 20 times. I’m confused by that one

I actually like the conflicting view points; I would have loved to have it rather than the 4 student passage. On the question on the kind of cell was it a skin cell?

neuron cell

Wow I feel stupid… neuron is nerve… smh. On the test I wasn’t thinking I guess.

There was a little (i) next to the elements for intracellular and a little (o) for extracellular.

It was actually explicitly stated in the passage.

Conflicting viewpoints recently has gone beyond 2 scientists. There are usually 4 viewpoints now to make things extra confusing for everybody.

yea i couldn’t believe my eyes when i saw 4 scientists views. double the trouble :(
