At this point for those of us still waiting on MSB, any letter in the mail from Georgetown you can probably expect as a refection or waitlist.

same here…I’m losing hope… I really hope there will be another batch of acceptance coming out next few days…

I dreamed a dream in times gone by
When hope was high and life worth living
I dreamed that my hope will never die
I dreamed that Georgetown will be forgiving

That’s how I feel…but I’m being melodramatic

@UAlbs15

REFECTION sounds more horrifying than rejection

DO NOT FRET MY FRIENDS!

Seriously, as for SFS applicants here in this forum, there are stellar, stellar people (not including myself). Only one acceptances so far out of many here is preposterous. I am sure G-Town is just slow this year on their reviewing process. nothing more.

CHEER UP!

it appears to be gtown has made the decisions for MSB, I can assume that it will be a rejection for me. I just want to see the official letter at this point.

@yagilboonjota

Hahaha, I’m currently in finals week. Safe to say I’m a bit fried.

@UAlbs

Good luck! Summer awaits :)

Man, I’m so glad I found y’all. There’s another Georgetown Transfer 2013 thread and it says “official” in the title so I was monitoring that for a good few weeks. But hello REAL, ACTIVE, OFFICIAL THREAD! I’m also waiting for my decision to GU but too nervous to ask for an early read. If I get accepted, I would have to worry about financial aid. But if not, oh well!

@yagiboonjota

Thanks! Can’t wait for the week to be over and be on my way home.

@newleaf

Nice to have you join us! Which school are you applying for and have you seen any acceptances on the other “Official GTown Transfer” thread?

Holy ***! Admitted by SFS! School in DC YAY!

Day made .

Sorry for posting repeatedly, but I think I should tell you guys that it’s a number ten envelop but you can see clearly that it’s a bit thick and there are several pages. Also, “this year, Georgetown’s admission committees considered over 2000 transfer candidates for approximately 200 spaces.”

congrats lumberjack what were your stats?

@lumberjack
Congrats! I estimate this year’s transfer admissions rate is around 18-19%. And the timing of your admissions letter is consistent with past SFS acceptances.

@UAlbs15
Thanks!
I don’t think so…the page is pretty dead. I applied as a Government major. Honestly, I don’t know where that puts me. I’ve applied to so many different schools so I’m getting confused on the information for individual schools. Hehe :)

@newleaf I’m a government major as well. It seems like there are not a lot of CAS applicants this year, but of course, this thread is not representative of the applicant population.

I am also a government major! I haven’t seen any acceptances to CAS?

lol I was just rejected by JHU. Whatever!
For those interested in my stats, I am a Frosh at UCLA.
HS GPA: 92/100
College GPA: 3.86 (34 units so far)
SAT: 2180
SAT II: Math2 790, Physics 800, Chem 780
Rec: One strong from Math (Prof/TA actually let me draft for them), one average from History

Comments: I have research experience in both UCLA African Center and Nanjing University Coordinate Chemistry Lab. I took courses in Calc, Quantum Mechanics, Middle East History, Chicano Music, Writing , and some Poli Sci classes. I think the diversity in academic experience is what helps me break in, since my major is Science, Technology and International Affairs.
