General Comments: Good Luck!! I live in Maryland so I heard back really quickly, but all of you should be getting replies soon!

I live in Maryland and I haven’t heard back! Does this mean I can expect rejection?? :(

ACCEPTED! stats later

Did your financial aid package/letter come with your acceptance letter??

What size and thickness was the envelope for the acceptance letters?

Acceptance and rejection are the same size (regular small envelope), but acceptance is a little thicker.

Thank you.

I heard Gtown is fickle with aid… is it true?

deferred in December and now waitlisted…real cool.

waiting for the mail man but i’m anticipating a waitlist or a rejection for my D!! i will not be able to open the envelop this morning , she will do it after school!! too many waitlists already it’s not funny anymore!! it’s cruel! that means a “gentle” no!! what did she do wrong for her to be on the waitlist each time? she is not an urm and she is asking for FA so i will bet on that!! best of luck to all!!!

I really don’t know how they figure this out. Daughter got into Gtown, BC (Honors), ND (Honors), and 'Nova(Honors) EA, William and Mary (Monroe Honor) and yet was waitlisted at UVA where her heart was set. Another student in her class got declined from Bucknell but accepted into UVA and his stats are much lower than hers.

I know she has some great choices here and wherever she ends up, she will love. I am only stating that the system is one where we as bystanders can’t really figure out.

I feel for you Chocolate. It is hard to be a parent and see your child who has worked so hard get disappointed. I hope she gets great news today via the mailman.

^thank you! yes, the admission decisions are very weird!! sometimes it’s like what are they thinking??.. congratulation for your D!!! amazing schools!!!

Denied.

It’s okay though  I knew I wasn’t going to get in – I’m only top 20%. I got into Wake Forest today so I’m totally happy.

I still love Georgetown. Congrats to everyone who got in!! =)

^ how was the letter? a little heavy ? and did you have a card inside? and how many pages?

reading some of these parental posts out here makes me realize why most good pediatric dentists don’t let the parents in into the exam room.

it’s usually the parents and their uncomfortable behavior and faces that make the kids nervous. remove the parents and things go great.
