Given that the freshmen already know their decisions, seems like a good idea to concentrate our transfer inquiries on a single thread.

First of all, has anyone heard from Georgetown? I'll have interview this Sunday!

Good luck to everyone and let's keep this thread going until we get our acceptance letters!

I applied to MSB. I haven’t received any e-mails or anything from them - I guess that’s a good sign (meaning my application wasn’t missing anything)?

I wish they had a tracking system.

^ yes, I also wish that they had some kind of tracking system. I also wish they notified us online, not just by mail.

To answer the O.P.'s question, I have not heard from Georgetown since the submission of my application, (not counting the application confirmation e-mails I received). I have not been contacted for an interview either. I am actually very anxious about having to wait till June 1 in this type of uncertainty. I applied to SFS and I really need to get in.

I also applied to MSB. Have not heard anything about an interview yet =(

I got an e-mail this morning about missing ACT scores even though I submitted them a loooong time ago, ugh.

MSB is my choice as well! Where are you guys trying to transfer from? Me, Houston Community College.

I’m transferring from Gannon Univeristy its a small tier 4 LAC Catholic School on Lake Erie

This year’s transfer thread is noticeably devoid of intense posting. I wonder if it’s because not many people applied this year or just that people don’t care that much

I hopee less people applied.

I joke, I joke :p

@hookedongtown sounds good to me :)

By the way everyone, I had my interview yesterday. It could not have gone better; however, my interviewer told me that there have been some occasions when he thought the candidate was excellent and Georgetown rejected them. It’s a tricky process, good luck people!

I’ll believe it. i think the interview can only hurt you. if you have a bad interview, then that could damage your chances. but if you have a great interview, they just check off that you’re a sociable person, which is basically a requirement for georgetown. so an amazing interview doesn’t really increase your chances.

but seriously, i think it’s kind of unusual that people are not going crazy here on cc over whether they’ll get accepted or not. it usually gets pretty intense this time of year. so either people have just forgot about cc or not many people applied. i’m hoping for the latter:)

Let’s say where we are transferring from, our GPAs, our current year and our majors (you know, just to get a feel for the competition haha).

George Mason University
Freshman
Sociology
3.6

Transferring From: NC State University
Year: Currently a Freshman
Major: Mathematics
College GPA: 3.87
SAT: 1470 out of 1600

Ahhh sooooo nervous. I had my interview a couple of weekends ago and it went really well. Does anyone know the approximate date that we will more than likely be notified by? I know the deadline is June 1st, but I doubt they would make us wait that long.

i think accepted students will start hearing by late april. i believe people got answers by april 24th last year, or some time around then

woahhh really? that early? that would be amazing.

do you happen to know if the letters were sent to their house address their address at school if they are not currently living at home?

do you happen to know if the letters were sent to their house address or their address at school if they are not currently living at home?***

i believe the letter is sent to whichever mailing address you gave when you applied.

^wow, are you sure that they can notify us that early? I am leaving the country for summer in the beginning of may and it would be great to know my fate before then. Otherwise I am leaving without even knowing which city I will be coming back to. Did not risk getting a cheaper round trip for this reason. This could decide so many things in my life… ughh…
