**Official Georgetown University Transfer Thread 2010**

still waiting on the decision >,<

ok guys, tomorrow should be the day!
I am assuming they will email the accepted applicants, even if the rest only get a letter in the mail.
What would really suck is if everybody who is still waiting gets rejected, that would make me rightly upset. In any event, lets promise each other to not get discouraged, whatever the decision. We are bigger than the judgement our applications receive.

@Robinson, I actually just finished up my freshman year at Villanova, and truly disliked it, but spent a good deal of my time (almost every weekend) in the car to and from Georgetown. I’ve toured 26 colleges, and I can say without a doubt that Georgetown is unparalleled when it comes to student body, location, and pride. One complaint I have gotten from a lot of my friends at Georgetown is that the professors are hit-and-miss when it comes to helping the students, something that I did not run into at Nova.

Did anyone that hadn’t heard back yet receive a decision today?

Not me. Called yesterday and they said that the letters have not, in fact, been sent out. What’s going on?

Really?! This is so disappointing :/

MSB applicant & I still haven’t heard. I actually wait every day for the mail man to come hoping there will be a letter from Georgetown haha. It is the 25th! Isn’t the last day we’ll find out June 1st?

@ Wilson, considering Monday is a federal holiday, Georgetown will have to send out all applications by Wednesday the latest, to ensure that people who live far from DC will recieve their decisions by June 1st. Going off the info listed above, I’d say that they’ll mail today, meaning DC/VA/MD will hear Wednesday/Thursday, NY/NJ/CT/etc. will hear Thursday/Friday, and west coast will hear Friday/Saturday/Tuesday.

On that note, when posting acceptances etc, would everyone mind posting their region as well?

@Wilson - I feel your pain, I do the same thing waiting for the mail!

I am a CAS applicant from New Jersey, and I still have not received anything as of today. This is crazy to wait this long! You guys/gals are the only people who really understand my stress levels at this point!

I live in the DC area and received my letter of rejection today. The envelope said that it had been sent yesterday.
I was a CAS applicant, if anybody would like stats, PM me. I will no longer visit the forum because I am very tired of the whole thing.

Got rejected today via mail, and I live in the DC. Ask for stats
Good luck to all of you

Got rejected today via mail. CAS applicant. Pretty heartbroken about it actually. Good luck everyone else.

Waitlisted for MSB today.

Was waitlisted for MSB last year and rejected this year, even though I had a higher gpa and more impressive application than before. Must have been a really tough year! Congrats to everyone who was accepted.

waitlisted as well…

I was wondering what your stats were and from what NJ school did you try to transfer from.

waitlisted. I applied to the MSB. Just received an e-mail today. I can’t believe it!! I actually expected a rejection because it is really late. What can I do…please help me, it’s the last year I can transfer, i’m an international student!

Bummer I have to spend another year at UCSB, I was really hoping to bail this year and pretend it never happened, but alas, I was rejected. However, mark my words Georgetown University, I will go to your school next year. Congratulations to everyone who got in.

Does anyone know how many people get off the waitlist for transfers typically? Or how many got off/how many on in previous years?

Don’t lose hope! I got off the waitlist yesterday!
