Just now applied. Did your application statuses on the commonapp dashboard promptly display received? Wondering if mine would be received instantly.

No, it took a few days to show up.

Got the issue fixed, thanks!

I submitted my app and while setting up my gt account, I had sent them a picture of an official ID for them to confirm my identity. How long does it take for them to get back to me?

What’s a GT account?

You get it to check your application

It’s to activate buzzport after submitting the app

BuzzPort says they haven’t received my transcript yet, but they have my application and all my test scores. Is it okay if they get the transcript a couple days after?

Is there some portal that we’re supposed to make an account for? How do we apply for the Honors Scholarship or Presidential Scholarship? When do they notify people who qualify for the presidential scholarship? not to bombard y’all with questions…

I’m pretty sure you don’t have to apply for any scholarships. Those are automatically “applied” for when you just apply for GA Tech. Search up “buzzport” on Google to find the portal. I’m not sure about your last question, though.

Was I supposed to get an email about buzzport? I’ve never even heard of that…

Same here. I just checked it out and they want me to submit a photo ID and are going to call me to confirm if it’s me. Apparently the information I submitted was insufficient, which is so odd because I totally completed the common app.

I just feel like they’re making this more complicated than it has to be. They could’ve just emailed all applicants with their usernames and PINs. Oh well. :|

Does anyone know if decisions come out ON January 10th or BY January 10th?

@nagintapls…In past years the decisions have come out on the day indicated by admissions.

Oh ok. Thanks.

I’m a permanent resident with a green card, but my Buzzport displays my entering status as “international freshman.”
Anyone else a permanent resident with this status? I thought permanent residents were treated the same as U.S. Citizens.

I am permanent resident with a green card as well. My thing says “international freshman” as well.

Ok, glad that’s normal. Thanks for letting me know!

I emailed asking though.

Got a response. They said they will “review your Green Card and then change the status.” We’re good.
