"I know Georgia Tech decisions went out today. Just wanted to remind everyone a few things:
The name of your college does not define your personality, accomplishments, intellect, and it certainly isn’t solely predictive of success.
When you get to college, college is college. It’s making new friends, hauling a suitcase into your new dorm room and realizing you forget your hairbrush, setting pictures of your friends from home in your dorm just right, regretting taking that morning class, learning how to navigate the university online system, realizing that that one class that sounded awful is actually fun, staying up all night with friends watching skits online, and procrastinating during finals week (which is what I am doing at the moment). Every college is different. Every campus is different. Every culture is different. And each of you are different. The experience you have next year (or whenever you start college) will be completely different from what it might have been at your “dream school” (if you had one) in some ways, but some things tend to be the same almost everywhere. You’ll never know what your life would have been like if X. But I’m certain that somehow, wherever you are, the people you meet and the things you do will lead each and every one of you to places and opportunities that’ll make you grateful things panned out in unexpected (and once undesired) ways."

I got rejected. 1830 SAT, great essays, robust recommendations, taken the most rigorous classes, 4.0 throughout my high school career and loads of ECs and leadership stuff. I am unable to believe this.
