0-2-1 after a shut-out loss to Denver in the home opener at Mariucci last night. *** is going on with Da Gophs? Two embarrasing friday night losses to North Dakota and DU, and a game where we struggled to pull out a tie. The team needs to pull it together tonight against Denver again, especially Hanson and Hoeffel.

Ah, college hockey! They don’t have it at my older daughter’s school. If younger Daughter ends up at the U – how hard is it for students to get tickets?

Gophers are disappointing this year. I go to UWMadison but follow them (or try to, it’s very hard) because my friend plays for the Gophers. I guess we just can’t score goals to save our lives.

lol I was just proofreading and I realized I still refer to myself as part of the team (we can’t). I may cheer for my Badgers in every sport but hockey. Once a Minnesota hockey fan, always a Minnesota hockey fan.

True dat!

I just got accepted to Madison and will go to either there or the U, but even if I got to Madison, it will be easy to cheer for Buckey football and basketball, but hockey… that might take some work.

Another disapointing loss last night by the way :(

I was at the game with Denver…
It was like they totally kicked our ~~~…

Well, they did kick our ~~~…

Totally unacceptable by the way, we’re Minnesota for crying out loud and this is ice hockey!

Yea we better pick it up this weekend. Come on leds i need to see a snipe out of you! Oh and I would also like to know how hard it is for students to get tickets btw.

Hey, why won’t anyone answer my question about how hard it is to get tickets ??
Anyone??

They sell tickets to students. Check gopher sports website for details.

Oh, I figured there were tickets for students and they weren’t free, but what I guess I thought the official websites wouldn’t tell me is how hard they are to get – kind of like the lottery for Wisconsin football where you can try every year and never get tickets, even as a student, vs. other places where everyone is guaranteed a student ticket if they get their money in – that kind of thing.
I know hockey can be extremely popular (it was at Cornell back in the day) so I was just wondering.
Thanks for the reply.

How’s the UAA game going?

A nice 5-1 beat down for the first win of the season.

Oh, and for student tickets, read this:

LakeSuperior – thanks!

Ouch. I managed to watch some of the game last night, and the Gophers were dominant.
