I don’t think i’ll be going to G-Tech anymore even if I’m accepted.

13% of deferred students were accepted last year and 20% were offered a place on the waitlist.

And I don’t know how this sounds, but please keep in mind that if you’re not going to go to GT even if you’re accepted, you can help other applicants out by not expressing any more interest or filling out the deferred supplemental form.

dumb question but what does it mean to be offered a place on the waitlist isn’t defreed being waitlisted?

Deferred means you get a chance in the regular decision

I think I got deferred because of my SAT scores. I took it once without preparation or study junior year and got an 1880, and that was the only score sent to tech. I just took it again in December (stupid me didn’t study or prep or anything because I thought with my ec’s and ACT I would get in) and got a 1960. I didn’t think about Tech’s switch to Common App creating such a surge in applications:/. Plus I kinda just put something down for the supplement, I should have taken more time with it.

GA Tech doesn’t have my most recent test score, or my AP Exam scores (something that they said is optional and factor in). They also don’t know about being named to the All Region team, and I’m planning on sending both to Tech, but what else can/should I do to get accepted with the regular decision?
