**Official Harvard 2013 Transfer Thread**

If 100 people interview and only about 30-50% of admitted students get interviews, then that means ~5-7 / 100 interviewees (assuming they accept ~15 people total) are admitted? Still better than the typical <1% chance though.

@CalifornaWhim, I’d say we will hear back by the end of the month or the first week on May. I really can’t see it taking any longer. They have ~fifteen spots and so regardless of the fact that there are so many of us vying for those spots, its doesn’t make sense to spend more than a few days in committee.

@Morningglory: What is your reason for transfer and major? I’m a philosophy and econ double and ran out of Phil courses in my area of interest here at Midd. I had a friend from brown visit us over spring break and she absolutely loved Brown. I would have considered applying to brown except they aren’t exactly liberal with their aid, especially for internationals.

@Knight92, Where are you applying from etc? Whats your reason for transfer?

@Middtransferout
I’m double concentrating in IR and econ and my reason for transferring is mostly financial. As you said, Brown does not provide financial aid to international students:/, especially enrolled ones. Also, though Brown is a great school and I really enjoyed life here, I just want more academically challenging environment and more diverse econ courses;)

Hi everyone! I’m a transfer hopeful as well and want to wish everyone the best of luck! If anyone hears back, let us others know!

anyone Had an interview?

The decision came out so suddenly.
I got rejected, not surprising that only 12 students got accepted from over 1400 applicants.

Rejected too… so sudden…

rejected same here. unlike at the cornell rejection, not so surprised nor depressed… since this is <1% rate and I know I am not getting in, even with a prominent alumnus’ loc

rejected!I really want to know who are those 12 accepted students and what made them so especial among all of us?! #curious #heartbroken

Aaaaaand… not surprisingly, rejected. Ah even when you know that the acceptance rate is 0.8% you still has this tiny hope.

Anyway, congratulations to those who got admitted - probably natural-born geniuses :)

rejected 10char

Ehh… how do you guys know your decisions?

rejected 10 char

Oh, that’s right. I asked them to mail it because I want to go to Harvard 100x more than the other places I applied to. Looks like I won’t be seeing my decision for another week…

I was fortunate enough to be one of the twelve! Earnestly looking for the other eleven. If you’re one of them, do send me a PM!
