<p>20% of 37 reported waitlistees = 7.4. Correcting for selection bias, I'd say about 10 of us will get off the waitlist. 3 have already been, so I predict that from this post on we'll see 7 other people whose handles are posted in post #398 get off the waitlist.</p>

<p>To make it statistically meaningful you probably should exclude those, whose first post here was about going off the waitlist. They entered the group with a 100% probability of being admitted, nor with a 10-20%.</p>
<p>^My thoughts exactly; I just wasn't sure whether they were here initially or not. How many such people are there?</p>
<p>EDIT: There is only one, xd32. Wii Seller and dragon12 were here before they said that they were admitted. Regardless, it doesn't affect the calculations much.</p>

<p>I have accepted a spot at WashU and have told myself that if I don't get a reply by June 5, my birthday, then that is where I am going no matter what. Of course, it is hard to say what anyone would do getting a call in mid-july from a Harvard ad-rep.</p>
