<p>If you guys don't get calls soon, really look at the glass as half full. I'm going, but i'm absolutely terrified. I was completely happy to go to Geneseo and now I get one phone call and I'm picking up and moving to cambridge. Idk about anybody else, but it's been a little intimidating/stressful for me. If you guys are happy where you're going, then don't stress this too much :-)</p>

<p>Congrats to all who've made it in. For my son, I've given up hope. I'd like everyone's opinion on this: My son can go to Penn State's Honors College (Schreyer) for $20K a year or Brown at $50K per year. Is Brown worth the difference? I just can't see my son at Penn State, he's always said he DOES NOT want to go to Penn State and then did a 180 on me at the last minute. I need some outside perspective here.</p>

<p>Maybe everyone didn't see my early post from yesterday, so I'll repeat it. The admissions office told me that this is an ongoing process until the end of June. The nonfunctionality of the website means nothing. They must be taking it off line and will do the remaining by phone, mail, and email.</p>
<p>Bottom line, you are not counted out until the end of June. Meanwhil, try to enjoy the end of your high school years!!</p>

<p>Posting for the first time-my D is waiting too though she is away at school, busy taking exams, and fully planning on going to Brown in the fall. My S is a junior at Harvard. Neither child has ever been on this site-I stumbled upon it and they laugh at me for following along....Congrats to all those accepted. Harvard is a great place though so many other colleges are wonderful too! Enjoy those four years!!

Harvard has not released an official number of waitlisted students, however Dean Fitzsimmons has indicated several hundred students wl, causing speculation if this means less than or more than 1000. A recent crimson article quotes the Dean as saying H anticipates taking more than 200 off the waitlist.</p>
<p>Thanks-yes, I saw that "many hundreds" article as well as the more recent one...I wish they would be more forthcoming. We are internationals.</p>

<p>Welcome DillyDally. I just updated your info to the cc wl. Congratulations on Cornell! My son is also committed to Cornell and loves it. In fact, we came back from Cornell Days a few weeks ago and campus is "gorges." S is also wl to H & Y. I haven't seen any postings regarding activity in NJ.

<p>Hi everybody, I've actually been following this thing nearly religiously since I was waitlisted. I haven't heard anything yet, and it's quite frustrating because I sent in a letter in April... </p>
<p>I really wish the whole process was more transparent. I feel like it's all quite mysterious - even to an unnecessary extent. For instance, Harvard might easily tell us exactly how many people were waitlisted and how many chose to stay on the list. Although I would love to attend Harvard, I feel a bit manipulated... between the rhetoric ("200 very happy" in June) and the way this is dragging on and on... I'm getting really impatient! </p>
<p>Mostly, I wish I could have some psychological stability - knowing 100% where I'm going to study in the fall! Anyone from Maryland heard anything yet? </p>
