Official Harvard Fall 2014 Transfer Discussion Thread

Thanks @Hanna!

Ugh. And now comes the wait. Anyone know when decisions are usually released?

They say by June 1, but the past threads I’ve looked at showed decisions released in the first week or so of May

Well, looks like the uphill battle I faced beforehand has become near-vertical. I guess we’ll see!

Will Harvard email us about our application submission confirmation or something? And will they give us a login account to an online portal to check the status of our application materials?

Yes to both questions. I received my confirmation email about a week after submission, and it contained the link to the application status portal.

Has anyone who applied near the deadline received a confirmation email yet?

Sent mine in the day of. Haven’t gotten an email yet though.

That’s good to hear. Hopefully we’ll hear something in the next week.

Yup. I’ve logged onto the online portal and saw they processed all my documents, except for one. So I know they have my application.

Huh. I did not receive a confirmation email, but I was able to log in by requesting a new PIN. That’s a relief!

Same! And it says they’ve received/processed everything except my hs transcript.

And now we wait in anguish for two months. :(

Just try not to think about it. I had to wait FIVE MONTHS to hear the final results for my summer study abroad program. THAT was agonizing!

Once everything has been submitted, I will breathe a huge sigh of relief. Waiting is no problem at all, after applying to 21 schools. :-<

21 schools?! Holy moley! Where did you apply?

I applied to, like, four.

I’m kind of curious now. If nothing more than to keep the discussion going, would you mind sharing where you applied?

Haha I’ll pm you

Anyone else find the admissions rates for the class of 2018 interesting? A slightly increased admissions rate?

That might be due to the slightly fewer total applications they received as compared to last year.
