Official Harvard RD Class of 2018 Thread

Ermmm something tells me they don’t feel compelled to remind anyone to check their emails, but if they do kudos to them because not one person here DOESN’T know to check their emails.

I didn’t get an email from Harvard. Or Yale.

I pretty much have to check all my decisions with at least my mom because I’m homeschooled, which makes her my teacher, counselor, and principal, so she deserves to be there. :stuck_out_tongue: And someone is staying in my room this week, so I won’t even have a place to retreat to if everyone rejects me.

I get my Wellesley decision tomorrow at 5:00 which is at 3:00 in my country, right as I am on the bus on the way back to my house from school. I’m planning on waiting until I get home so that I can check it with my mom, but then again she might not be there… And straight after I’m going to go have dinner with my boyfriend cause it’s our 4 month anniversary haha.

Then Williams decision will be sent to me again at 3:00 in my country on Wednesday.

Lastly, Ivy Day, Thursday, I will receive decisions from 7 out of the 10 total schools that I applied to. (Tufts is the last one, but I’m not sure when decisions are released). Ivy Day I’m for sure checking all of my schools’ decisions with my mother, since she’s supported me all along. My boyfriend also said he’d be there if I need him, but I’m gonna see if I see him or not that day because I could be a horrible mess and I’d rather face a rejection to my first choice school with as least people as possible, aka my mom…

The thing is, I have not received any of my decisions at all. All my friends have been already getting rejections and acceptances and I’ve literally had to wait until this week for all my decisions to bombard me all at once. This is either going to be an amazing week or a horrible one…. :-&

Also to everyone else who was wondering, I also have received notifications to check my email on the 27th from all the ivies but Harvard and Yale. I don’t think they’ve sent anything yet.

Yup, both Princeton & Brown have sent me the emails. No sign from Harvard.

I’ll have no choice but to find out during class, since I’m on the West Coast. D: I could wait till the bell rings, but I don’t think I’d have enough patience lol

I haven’t received a thing from Brown…! When did you get the email @Lilliana330?

@IBtracklete366 This morning @ 10:13 AM (Pacific)

Gah, that’s worrisome, considering I’m on Pacific time as well… D: Thank you @Lilliana330! I have to call them tomorrow morning, they didn’t even send me the portal information (which I just realized today). :/

Anyone else checking their email every 15 minutes even though we all know decisions aren’t till the 27th?

@IBtrackelete366 I’m pretty sure the email means nothing lol, relax. Hmm the portal info was sent around January, though, so definitely call them. :o

Lol @Lilliana330, well it’s not so much the email itself that I’m worried about, it’s more the fact that they haven’t sent me anything at all, not even an email confirming they received my application. But yeah, I’ll for sure call, thank you. :slight_smile: @romeonachos, I’m with you! Haha.

@IBtracklete366 Ohh, hope it’s just a clerical error w/emails or something :o

Hopefully @Lilliana330! >.<

@Cawledge96

I don’t think anyone really knows :confused: we know parents help… But sibblings? I dunno

For some reason, I thought Harvard came out on the 26th… Is it on the 27th?

@austie1216 Yep, all Ivies come out on the 27th. There are some schools coming out on the 26th though - Williams, for example.

Can I get feedback on my essay topic? I wrote about being an Indian American actor wanting to pursue playwriting in college in order to redefine cultural stereotypes of Indian Americans.

@indianactor I like your essay topic! It sounds both personal and academic, which I think is the best balance possible on a college essay.
