@Shutterstock: You must be trolling.

@disari21
I’m not trolling at all. That’s how the admission process works.

Did everyone send updates to their application? I am pretty sure mine was pitiful, but I felt like saying something about National Merit Finalist and a recent travel experience…

I sent in some updates as well, more to keep in contact than anything else… mentioned that I became the assistant archivist of my school, had my independent study in Shakespeare’s Henriad approved, am restarting the International Thespian Society at my school, and will be featured in a classical piano concert in June.

They’re honestly all pretty minor, but it’s always good to just remind them of your existence ^.^

@shutterstock ah that’s interesting, I couldn’t find anything about it online so I figured maybe someone else on here got a similar email. Pretty nervous. The exact wording was for “faculty review.”

@book05 yeah it was just an email saying she reviewed my application and would love to see some more of my best work for faculty review.

@LAMuniv @meghamind …are you sending updates by email or snail mail? And if by email, where can I find the email id. Till now, I have always contacted Harvard through the “Contact Us” page on the website.

Also, what stage of the admissions process would be going on right now? Do you think the regional admission officers are done with their review?

Do you guys think it is too late to send a resume?

@Shutterstock: I was talking about your “i’m not expecting much because i didn’t get a second interview” thing. ;)

@Conscience13 Instructions are on the bottom of this page (though it seems like you’ve been doing the right thing anyway): https://college.harvard.edu/admissions/application-process/application-requirements

@book05 I have no idea what a professional would say, but in my opinion I think it would be. Plus it would probably be very similar to what you Common App looks like. If you want to add things to your file, I would just add the individual items through the form I posted above. Again, this is just my opinion and I am by no means a professional, haha

Thank You @LAMuniv . And I as I had asked earlier, any idea what usually happens in the admission office during this period of the season. Would the regional committees be done gong through apps? I am just trying to figure out if interviews are still being offered .

@Conscience13 I sent mine in by email, I applied EA so in the deferral email they sent me they told me I could update them by sending an email to their “fileroom” whatever that would be. Anyways, as of now I do not believe they are taking any more interviews since their deadline for EA interviews was one month before the decisions came out. Right now they are probably sorting applications and making sure all materials are received. Not an authority, just an opinion :). I hope my counselor sent in the recommendation I asked her to write last week… Was I too late? :-S probably.

Thanks @meghamind !! I was just asking about the interview because I am an international applicant from one of those “limited interviews” countries. It is believed that for these countries the interviews are selective. Well can’t brood over that anymore.
And I guess your recommendation will be added to your file. If they are accepting updates then why not recommendations? Also, I read that @Manmeetsg was asked to send some updates right. So, I guess even if they are late, they will get into the file at some point of time, be it during the regional adcom review or later.

I like your logic! But at any rate, if your country doesn’t have very many alum, I wouldn’t be bummed about not getting an interview. Having one in a foreign country especially is contingent upon a representative or alum agreeing to conduct the interview in the first place, so if they feel they are too busy then the university is out of luck.

@meghamind …ah! you should check out the pages for international interviews. Almost all people who get in from these “limited interviews” areas are the ones who had had interviews. There have been too many instances in which only 1 or 2 would get interviewed even if more applied and they ended up getting in. In fact, I know there is an alum in my own city . I was never contacted but someone from my city who is now a freshman at Harvard was.

Oh awkward… I’m sure you are a fantastic applicant anyways! @conscience13

@meghamind …hahah!! thanks for the kind words but I guess it will be okay, whatever the result might be.

Anybody here going to try Math 55 with me at Harvard if they get in? I am working my way through LinAlg right now and will try to study Calc3-4 on my own over the summer so that I can give 25 a good shot (after probably dropping down from 55).

Also, it’s a scary thought that someone out there might already know your final Harvard decision by now.

#Error404 Acceptance not expected

@huehuehue32
If I miraculously get in and decide to go, I will go on record and say that I will do everything in my power to take that class at Harvard. After all who doesn’t want to try “the hardest undergraduate math course in the country?” ;)

Oh, I definitely don’t expect to get in either, but it would definitely be nice. Math 55 sounds like a nice challenge even though I’d probably be competing with a bunch of IMO people.
