I too can log in.

I’m assuming (hoping desperately) that the financial aid office doesn’t process all the applications at once, so if you CAN login, I’m pretty sure that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re deferred. I think not being able to login is a good thing though.

I logged in just fine. This is the application status page, right? Test scores and all that jazz?

Look at my repost^

I guess it was a minor glitch…I just tried again and it worked.

@sebelius: Are the financial aid decisions looked at individually or compared to the need of other students?

I’m think, at least at Harvard, it’s individual since they meet at least 100% of demonstrated need.

Quillabee: You’re right; The status page and the admitted students page are NOT the same!

Sigh… 8 more days. I also just realized that I won’t know my admission decision for a couple hours after it’s released because I’ll be in school.

I got a Harvard sweatshirt when I went there to debate a couple years ago, but I haven’t worn it for the last several months for fear of jinxing myself Hopefully I’ll be able to wear it again soon.

I basically have 3 questions:
- Is it okay that I almost didn’t talk about my academic performance? I mean, I did talk about my interest in certain subjects, but apparently I didn’t show my interviewers any statistics (SATs, GPA, honors…) I have rather high SAT and GPA and a certain number of honors but I thought since they were already in my application materials, I didn’t need to tell the interviewers again, and they didn’t really ask. When one of the interviewers asked i I had something to add after they were done giving questions, I basically told him the other things are already in my application, then I started asking questions ( as required)
- What does it mean if one of my 2 interviewers never replied to my Thank You Note? It’s been more than a week so I don’t think he will reply. Did this happen to any of you?
- Why did I have 2 interviewers? I highly doubt that I live in an area where the alumini are abundant.

1) The admission ppl can see ur numbers. Interview is for the objective component.
2) What you expect they reply you with? “you’re welcome”? Mine didnt reply either.
3) It’s a good news.

Thanks. Did u mean subjective in the 1st question?

yes my bad

[A Glimpse of the Admissions Process - YouTube](<a href=“A Glimpse of the Admissions Process - YouTube”>A Glimpse of the Admissions Process - YouTube)

you guys would really enjoy watching this. it briefly goes over the harvard admissions process. squeals

I always pictured the admissions department in wood-walled rooms…

I wish the undergrad admissions office had a twitter account ;)

hehehe ^ LIKE.

haha, i saw that video a while back when i was researching admissions stuff:). i prefer this admissions video: [How High Schoolers Imagine the College Admissions Process - YouTube](<a href=“How High Schoolers Imagine the College Admissions Process - YouTube”>How High Schoolers Imagine the College Admissions Process - YouTube)

^hahahha LOVE IT. I just shared it on fb.

What is this login portal that you speak of? (Referring to the past couple of pages.) The Admitted Students’ Website isn’t available yet, so I don’t know why people are saying they can log in. The Application Status page is still available, though - is that what those posts are referring to?

I don’t think that’d be the case. I’d assume that all EA applicants will lose access to the site on the 14th and those deferred will have access restored sometime later. Still, if any EA applicants can access the site on the 14th, it’ll be interesting to see if “Early” is still listed as the application type.

Yes.

LOL, just watched that video. The America’s Next Top Model reference was especially funny. Oh, speaking of that show, my favorite contestant, Allison (whose last name happens to be Harvard), lost tonight. I was rooting for her the whole time Perhaps this is an omen…

God, if you’re listening, please give me a sign - HIT ME, BABY, ONE MORE TIME!
