@Smacking AHHHH I guess I’ll have to wait until Friday morning here because I’m in China! OH NO this is torturing…My time runs just “faster” than EST but that means I have to wait even longer OH NO. I’m really not in any mood of writing other essays. I’ve been wasting me life these days fretting over The Big Moment.

Right now we’re having a very cool moon eclipse here. Mark this moment. Mark Mark :3

Well, it might “seem” further away, but in absolute number of hours we all have the same amount of time to wait.

(Where I live decisions come out exactly at the turn of the day. Le sigh)

Patience!

Yeah I was just kidding. Too bored. You live in Europe?

Patience Patience Patience…

Wow u r also from China?! I am from Beijing but I didn’t get an interview… Do you mind telling me which city u r from?

And my last post was for Solowhale:)

@Tdowney Pretty cool huh we meet here rather than on CUUS. It doesn’t really matter which city I come from, if I’m going be rejected…But I really hope that we end up as H admits. (OH GOD this is dreamy)

I heard that three applicants in BJ got interviews? Which school are you from? I think guys from RDFZ could probably be directly admitted without an interview. Just kidding though. I guess H has carried out a lot of interviews in China this year. So, I’m no difference than other crapshooters.

@Solowhale Yeah it is sooo cool… I actually heard about CUUS but cannot log onto it cuz there’s apparently some technical problems. Since Harvard interviews are highly selective. I don’t really think pply without interviews stand any chance.
I am actually from Beijing No.4 HS, we have like 3 Columbia admits already.

@Solowhale How many ppl do u suppose H will admit in China during the REA? I know that not a lot of ppl were interviewed. I heard from a friend of mine, who was interviewed that there are only 5 ppl who r interviewed: 3 from BJ and 2 from SH. All of them seems to be from big schools in BJ and SH. R u one of the lucky ones from SH? I heard SFLS has always been amazingly strong.

Yeah I heard that!! Really impressive! Columbia’s crazy this year.

I don’t think I can provide you with any info other than you have known about the situation in BJ coz I’m not from your place I really hate to say this, but I also think it’s nearly a pre-rejection sign that you don’t get an interview.

But I screwed up my interview. I think my best ending is a defer. GOD KNOWS.

OOps I also know a nice girl from a not-so-famous school in Chongqing who got interviewed in Chengdu. Are you sure they just interviewed no more than ten people? I think there’ll be like three REA admits over China this year, if the adcom is in a good mood, like Columbia XD

All this is only my guessing.

Hi other smiley! Hope your admissions go well!

And is it bad that my interviewer told me to keep my other options open? He said to have a backup plan.

That rules u out from the ppl from my city:) So u r from the so called Modu rather than Didu lol…Well, you never know what kind of an impression you gave to the interviewer! I mean, maybe the interviewer thought you were spectacular! From my perspective, u r probably just paranoid or overly- modest:) How exactly did u reach the conclusion that u screwed up?

Really? A girl from Chongqing? I didn’t hear about that? R u absolutely certain?

This is supposed to be a decisions thread! Please direct your comments here:

Hey you, don’t remind me of that awful situation :(

Well, it was really awkward that I had not expected that there would be two interviewers. I sweated a lot and I was just popping up with all the English words that I could use to express myself. Both the interviewers were fluent in Chinese and they were so “considerate” to allow me to speak in Chinese. I feel it must be that my oral English really disgusted them. I don’t know, but I really didn’t feel good, I also saw expressions of being confused and impatient. So, can I conclude it as “screwed up”?

I’d thank god if they thought I was spectacular. I do think I’m kinda “spectacular”, but not at that interview, not at all.

Seems as if BJ’s got a lot of likely-admits :)

Yeah I’m very sure. I was with her yesterday. Afternoon tea with essays. :)

@Solowhale I just asked my friend, and she said all she knows is those 5 ppl… Maybe her info is already outdated… Wow, there r so many ppl interviewed!! I heard that some one from Guangzhou was interviewed in Hong Kong but I am not so sure.

I know, she read the thread on CUUS. I guess H has interviewed 7-8 people in China, including someone that we would probably never know about.

Whatsoever, 5 days to go! I keep fretting…

Bedtime! Good night.

@Tdowney

Hello, nice to meet you all. Just made an account as soon as I could when I read your message. So I’m an international student living in Shanghai, and was fortunate enough to have been interviewed on my REA by some harvard alumni. Are you sure that there were only two people interviewed? Things like that scare me : O.
