Official Harvard SCEA Class of 2017

I got my call about the interview today on monday Nov 5, I sent the app on Oct 31. Still haven’t gotten a tracking number though.

Anyone else getting a duplicate e-mail error when trying to get the code?

I got the duplicate email error

Got that too - wait a couple days and try again. Mine worked after about a week.

I submitted my application on 31st October. Got an acknowledgement e-mail today. I got my access code within about ten minutes of sending the request.

The Harvard portal says my recommendations are received, but my secondary school/dean’s letter are not. Does anyone else have this problem?

I am the opposite, twoleftfeet. My teachers submitted online but the secondary school report was submitted by mail.

Just got my interview invite. Sent my application one week ago.

My mum’s being a bit paranoid. I was directly contacted by the interviewer herself, with nothing from Harvard or the UK Harvard Club. Did people who got interview invites only get contacted by the interviewer?

@Looshin my interviewer contacted me using her work email with the subject line “harvard interview” so no, I don’t think Harvard or an alumni society usually contacts a candidate for an interview.

@hellogoodbye13, mine is doing that too, he lives like 5 minutes away from me though.

@Looshin, my interviewer called me by telephone the day before I got the confirmation. I’ve gotten no “official” communication beyond that.

I have to concerns though, and I plan on calling them tomorrow:
1)It says neither the Recommendation Letters or Secondary School Report has been received, both were submitted online through Common App before I sent in the application.
2)It says that I submitted the Early Application on Nov 4, even though I really did so on Oct 31. Does anyone think this would be an issue?

@student2407 definitely call them, but the November 4th thing should be fine because I think that just means that they have finished downloading everything and filing everything from your application and the review process has begun. Mine said “submitted October 15th” before and then changed to “submitted November 3rd”

@student2407

The Recommendation/SSR problem is same for me, but earlier on here someone mentioned Harvard was going through the application and supplement first, then those and they just haven’t gotten to filing them yet. So I wouldn’t worry.
I also submitted on Oct. 31 and it says Nov. 4 but that’s just when they downloaded it so don’t worry about that either.

(cont) Also I checked on Common App and it says that Harvard has downloaded my Recs and Report. Weird?

I live in California so I’ll have to call them durring school tomorrow.

Is it unusual to have an interview with someone who works for Harvard in their office? I did this week, and one of my friends has one with the same interviewer, but our other friend has one with an alumni who doesn’t work for the university. We all go to the same school.

Any Canadians here? I’m in Montreal. I haven’t been contacted for an interview yet and now I’m wondering if it means I should give up entirely on being admitted. ???

Also, NEC/Harvard dual degree people (if there are any) are you going to send your pre-screening stuff to Harvard as well?

hey guys, so on the application portal where u can see your application status and received materials there is a button on the bottom for “report scores.” Does this section need to be filled out? it shows they have received all my offical score reports, but do i still need to fill this out?

Wait a minute guys…just saw this on Instagram (wow feel like a total creep): [Photo by jillian_leslie • Instagram](http://instagram.com/p/RjWrOjMQBC/)
Is this a likely letter? Didn’t know they did them for EA. .

Whaaaaattttttttt

Early Action likely letters are largely reserved for athletes and legacies (not sure about the legacies, almost positive) (and a few exceptional EA applicants) who apply EA.
there are 30,000+ applicants and they only send 300. don’t freak out.
