^ oh my gosh greatest movie ever!!

YES. 3 Idiots FTW! :D

Looool xD…

Hey! Another RD applicant here! How many of you did an art supplement?

I did! 10char

Kinda. I sent a link to my YouTube channel to my interviewer who said she would forward the email to the admissions office… I didn’t think they’d want to hear it, but heyho :’)

I did! I had a YouTube link for a dance video supplement in the spot provided in the Columbia supplement. if that makes any sense haha

Wow that’s awesome good luck…

I just assumed that music supplement was like concert pianists and classical music superstars :)

^ thanks! I’m not a superstar haha but dance has been my biggest time commitment and passion, so I wanted my colleges to see that, even though I’m not going to major in dance :)

Yep I put in a youtube link as well.

only like 24 days guys…

I did one for classical voice, but Harvard specified that they wanted classical music on a CD, so I didn’t send the YouTube video.

Yeh, I also read that about the youtube so I sent in an instrumental CD… Not as good as it could have been and I wish I had recorded more…

Wait a second. I said that I sent in an arts supplement, but I just received a personalized email from a Harvard admissions officer asking for more information, noting that they had never received my arts supp that I indicated that I would send. She told me to send it to her. Besides the peculiarity that they never received it, do you think it is a good or bad sign that they want more info??

@iman123194: It’s definitely not a bad sign. Just leave it at that. Nobody can say whether it’s a good sign or whether it doesn’t mean anything. Although there is a solid chance it’s a good sign if the admissions officer herself sent you an e-mail (it wasn’t just an automated one or anything). Try not to think too much about it though.

Hey everyone! I’ve been lurking for some time now, and decided to finally join the conversation!

I’m in utter disbelief right now. I just got a “likely letter.” I’m still trying to process it… honestly I did not see that coming! btw, it’s not really a likely letter like Columbia’… it’s an outright “early acceptance” letter from the dean of admissions with a little handwritten note at the end!

I feel very blessed and fortunate. I really wish all the best to all of you guys! As a non-athletic international applicant, I didn’t know if I had a good shot at admittance, let alone a likely letter. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve heard “it’s impossible.” Prepare yourself; the next sentence will be so cheesy and cliched you might get sick, but I hope not: Never stop trying. All the discouraging comments around you are just noise! If you care enough to join CC to advance yourself, and are working hard, you will most definitely be successful in your life (something that I still can’t say about myself yet… but hopefully someday)

Congrats Yab123!!!

What are your stats like, Yab?

@adissaddddd: Thank you, and good luck!

Btw, I know some of you guys are trying to PM me, but unfortunately, I can’t reply back yet (less than 15 posts…) Sorry about that…

Did you happen to have an interview?

Yep. Had an interview with an incredible Harvard graduate. He was very humble for a person of his status (and descent…), and very easy to speak with!
