Oh man, you cross-admit people blow my mind. You’re going to have some pretty ridiculous decisions to make… I’m glad the universe decided for me, lol. I’m pleased with my waitlist from H - it’s better than nothing, yes? :)

I haven’t received my decision yet, but they called me today and i missed it. Is that a good sign? Do you think they will call again?

OH MY GOD. I got accepted from Harvard!!! The irony is I got rejected from Yale, Cornell and wait-listed from Dartmouth. As a poor student from Croatia, I realize now that dreams may come true. Can’t wait to meet you guys!!!

@Ale, you can always try to log on to the admitted students portal. If it works, you’re in.

I know… it’s a little puzzling lol

I got into Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth, MIT, and few others. Rejected from Princeton, and Cornell (this was interesting…)

Either way, I’m very happy. In the meanwhile, I still can’t access Johns Hopkins’ website lol

well yab for me harvard is enough! it was always a dream school for me and I feel so honoured to have been accepted. The situation in my country is pretty bad and this is literally a gift from heaven for me, I still can believe i got in.
Whats your first choice?

@Luka: Congrats! and I definitely understand what you’re talking about. I feel very blessed to have these opportunities! situations here are pretty bad as well.

First choice used to be a tie between Harvard and Yale. But now I’m leaning more towards Harvard, especially since they sent me a likely letter.

CONGRATS to all who were accepted!

YAB, what country are you from (you had previously mentioned that you were applying form the Middle East)?

Well my parents literally wanted to kick me out of the house since they thought I am of no use and this kinda saved my life
Go to Harvard man, it is and always will be No 1!!!

Got into Harvard and Dartmouth!!! Rejected from Brown and Yale :(((

Accepted! Also Yale, Princeton, Penn, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Duke, Middlebury, UVA and William & Mary. Waitlisted at JHU!

@luka2612 what are your stats like as an international? If you don’t mind me asking

@luka: wow. Glad it worked out for you man :)

@JustOrdinary: I’d rather not reveal where I’m from for privacy concerns. I hope you understand!

Yab: no problem, I asked because I figured since decisions are out the anonymity may not be as important.

**** rejected

For future Harvard applicants:

It seems that Harvard does indeed send rejection emails first. Inspecting the e-mail header reveals that my acceptance email was sent out around 5:55 EST, and was delivered less than 1 minute later. Rejection emails seem to have gone out considerably earlier.

Instead of waiting for the email, checking the admitted students portal (located here: [Harvard College Admissions § Application Status Login](http://collegeadmissions.fas.harvard.edu/admitted/login.cgi)) seems to be a fairly reliable indicator of acceptance status. If you can log in, you’ve been accepted. If you can’t, you’ve either been denied, wait-listed, or the website might have issues.

Also, applicants should request their access codes well before decision day, since the access code request form went down shortly before emails were sent out. The Access Code can be requested here: [Request Forgotten Access Code](https://admapp.admissions.fas.harvard.edu/hanevo/accepted/forgotAccessCode.do). You might also want to send a test email to make sure everything is working, by emailing college@fas.harvard.edu with the subject “TEST”.

Good luck!

Rejected from Harvard. Also rejected from Cornell, Columbia, MIT, Princeton, Yale. Got into my safety, so that’s probably where I’ll go.
