Couldn’t find a thread, so decided to start one.
Do we know when decisions are going to be released?
Everyone, stats and major?
Mine Are:
ACT: 33 (English 34, Math 36, Reading 29, Science 34), Superscore 34 (Reading 32)
SAT IIs: 800 Math II, 770 Chem, 770 Phy
Class Rank: School doesn’t rank, but top 10%.
Unweighted GPA: 3.92 (Assuming 6’s = 3.75 and 7’s = 4.0 in IB)
Weighted GPA: 4.92
Didn’t take any APs.
IGCSE: 7A*s 2As

@theshadow I called the Admissions Office and they said it will definitely come before end of March.
They’ll send us an email telling us to check our Admission Hub 1-2 days before decisions are released, so keep checking your inbox.
@voltthorn - thank you! I’ve been looking for a HMC RD 2021 thread. FYI: It doesn’t come up when you search Harvey Mudd (I think having the word ‘0fficial’ before the name throws off the search engine.) Is there a way this can be corrected or edited so the thread isn’t missed by others? Either way, so glad you created a thread and to learn decisions will be released earlier than expected. Very helpful!
@gratefulmama Ah, didn’t quite realize that when I made this thread. Unfortunately it can’t be changed, since CC only lets you edit your posts for 15 minutes after you first publish it. Hopefully though, when other applicants do search up HMC and reach the main CC page for HMC, they will find this thread.
@gratefulmama Last year, HMC RD came out around 18th March as @thshadow said. The chances of RD decisions being released around a similar time frame is quite high.
Class of 2019: Decisions released on March 20th, Friday.
Class of 2020: Decisions released on March 18th, Friday.
If HMC decides to stick to this trend, then we can expect decisions on March 17th or March 24th. Hope this is helpful!
@voltthorn - thanks I did noticed the date from thshadow for last year, which is very exciting because my D thought decisions wouldn’t come out until 4/1! With the info on this thread, I’m now hopeful we will hear on the 17th. (Even the 24th is better than 4/1!) Good luck to everyone!
The previous two years were both the 3rd Friday in March, which adds promise to the 17th being the date this year!

Good to know. Maybe it’s just my feed or I missed it somehow. I’ve marked it now. HMC is my D’s top choice/dream school but she’s not on cc.
Based on ED I and ED II this year (Class Of 2021), do you know kind of stats most accepted students have?
I read through the ED1 thread for 2021 but I didn’t see any stats; just posts of whether they were accepted, deferred or rejected. I have looked through past years decisions and it seems pretty random. Some were rejected with perfect stats, while other were accepted with lower stats. It seems HMC puts a lot of effort into considering the whole application to determine fit.
Btw, my D has very similar stats as you:
33 (34 super scored) - ACT
800 French SAT, 730 Math 2 (a bit low probably)
4.0 GPA uw (4.7 w)
@gratefulmama I guess we just have to wait and see. Less than 2 weeks by our estimation!
What did your D list as her first choice major?
I’m pretty sure she applied as a math major.
@gratefulmama That’s great! Has she gotten in anywhere else yet? I’m sure she has with those stats!
She’s has been accepted to Boston College Honors, Cal Poly SLO (math) & Willamette (safety). Waiting on several UC’s & other east coast schools, but HMC is her top choice. (Although finances could be an issue as well.)
What abt you? What’s your top?
