<p>Hey, I applied ED to Haverford and I thought we should have a thread. Does anyone know when the admissions office will notify us?</p>

<p>“Financial aid decisions for new students applying for Early Decision to the Class of 2019 will be mailed on or about December 15, 2014.”</p>

<p>Has anyone called and confirmed exactly when we will find out though? So nervous!</p>

<p>Based of recent years, I think that letters are sent out around the 11th.</p>

<p>I think last year e-mails were sent on the 12th at the same time the letters were mailed.</p>

<p>The emails were definitely sent on December 12 (Thursday) last year. My daughter somehow didn’t notice it till Saturday the 14th! She is having an absolutely great time in this wonderful college as her first semester is coming to an end-challenging but fun as well. Best of luck! </p>

<p>I just called the admissions office and they told me emails would be sent on the 15th. The person I spoke to didn’t know when letters were being mailed. I’d be curious to know if others have heard otherwise.</p>

<p>I just called admissions, too. They confirmed that there would be an email component to the notification, and that emails would be going out the same time the letters were mailed and that the student would know by the 15th. My guess is they are mailing today or tomorrow so letters get there by the 15th. Maybe this year’s applicants will be lucky like last year’s and find out via email today or tomorrow. But that’s just my educated guess.</p>

<p>If you look at the ED thread from last year, most students received notification via email around 12:30 Eastern on Dec. 12, which happened to be a Thursday last year.</p>

<p>Just wanted to clarify the above. We received notice at 5 PM last year on December 12, which was a Thursday. Good luck to you all! </p>

<p>Yes, I think we will get them by 5PM EST today. At least I hope so. The admissions office is closed on the weekend so in order for those of us in the west to get our letters by the 15th, they will need to mail today. When I called the office today, I was told that we would know BY the 15th and that there would be an email component…So it’s by best guess (hope) that we get them today. </p>
