i invented the first strawberry flavored computer chip because i thought it went well with MAC's Apple computer.

1.) Recruited for rowing.
2.) 1,000 hours of community service and awards for it.
3.) Dad is friends with the CEO of Citadel. A possible connection into Harvard.

GT999, I heard rowing/crew is easy to get recruited for. Is this true?

that would seriously RULE.

though i doubt it...

GT999...?

Actually it is hard. Coaches want kids that have the best race times, the kids that are best conditioned, and the kids with the most experience while they have a great GPA and SAT score, and etc.

man, I wish I could be recruited for rowing.

my school makes crew a "club sport" and there are no other teams to compete in w/ in our area ...

most of the people on our team get confused over basic technique. it's tragic. :/

I invented NAMBLA and no its not the national association of marlon brando look alikes..... 0_0

I am trying to become competitive in riflery.

hey thats actually pretty cool...are you going to west point? Or is it just for a hook

i have a fishing hook...does that count?

My best hook is my left one, followed by a quick right jab....

But seriously my hook is being a white nebraska kid who is averagely well rounded, sports, clubs in all sectors, and a steady job. Is there a place for the semi-above average Joe??? Or are all the super-indians and child prodigies going to take our places?

I can beat anyone up, that would be a good hook, J/K

hehehehehee

I'm adopted from South Korea? lol

yeah you and about 50,000 other kids, we're both stuck in the same boat...

I'm Mexican

ur adopted too? from korea? i didn't know 60,000 adopted korean babies would be looking at colleges at hte same time... i sense some sarcasm

no, i'm not korean but you and I are in similar situations. I am white and average and you are korean and above average, we both get the short end of the stick in admissions.

? how do we get the short end of the stick in admissions???

There are many others just like us, Duh, just read the "Asian Stereotype" thread. White and Average and Asian and Above average are commonly seen profiles to admissions officers. The URM's aren't as common as our two groups.

..... how many adopted koreans could there be?

it's not the adopted part, it's the korean part, I don't think being adopted pulls any admissions weight, just like me being fat doesn't.
