can u apply to huntsman and select ur target language as one u want to better learn?? or does it have to be one ur already good at?

need_help:
i had thought of all that before
and well
frankly sometimes you just dont know what admissions officers think
an interesting thing would be to see, this year, if any of us get accepted to huntsman and didnt receive a test

sjay:
no you can select any language you want to be your target
you should just be able to prove proficiency in it though

what are these tests ppl are talking about and who takes em? i wanna apply using Hindi as my target, but im just learning to speak it on my own recently and it's not like it is taught at school or anything (i take spanish at school)....i won't be able to learn how to read it by the time i apply either (im a jr btw), but hopefully i'll be able to speak well....so should i rule it out? cuz i wont be good enough to be tested, i was hoping i'd learn it better in college

anyone remember which thread talked about second choice if we didn't get accepted into wharton

Good luck to you all. I'm actually from the Cornell board but I hope you people don't mind :)

I know who you are, pepero. I think you know me too. lol

kk heythatslife. I see you often don't I? kk Good luck w. Cornell :D

Are you guys nervous?
In Korea time, 7p.m. of the 14th is only 2 days and 5 hours away.

Damn.

I still have over 2 days, 17 hours, and some change.

wait....even though we all live on different time zones, we're all going to get decisions at the same moment right? because we're all gonna get decisions dec. 14th, 7p.m. Eastern Time, right?

Yes, I believe so.

i'm applying to huntsman too

2 days left. god

now we have 14 ppl. This is the greatest ever :D

diane, what's your target language?

and did you receive a test?

french, and nope

I dont think i made the cut for huntsman, but hopefully i get a second chance for wharton!

i wonder if applying to huntsman, and getting rejected helps your chances for wharton.

"Hmmm...he applied to huntsman, so it shows drive...and that extra essay was pretty good"

TheDude06

where did you get that quote from?

i hear a lot about these tests....what exactly are they?
does huntsman send all applicants tests in their target language to take on their own at home or what? If not....does huntsman test each applicant's proficiency in the target language somehow?

okay, for a moment, or maybe for more than just 30 hours,,,

though I really appreciate the efforts of all RD applicants to get to know more about Huntsman-

Huntsman ED applicants. Good luck. Nobody knows the results until they're out, and hopefully, we'll get in.

34 hours. My heart's beating.

Oh - by the way, did I ever mention that my birthday is on

December the 14th? lol

I think I heard somewhere that getting rejected from a program decreases your chances at your second choice division.

good luck everyone! I'm appying RD huntsman
