"I think I heard somewhere that getting rejected from a program decreases your chances at your second choice division."

heythatslife,

just updating the roster, now there are no blanks!

how're you guys feeling? 23hours :o

im feeling really sick..

so if you applied to the huntsman program..or any other program and you are rejected, are you then directly sent to the single- degree option pool? If so, is this the regular decision pool or the early decision one?

thanks

either.. you select on the app

Hopefully from what I heard it's the ed pool, then if deferred your app is sent to regular

i sent an email to an admissions officer a long time ago and i asked her if huntsman will affect decisions for a second choice, and she said:

"APPLYING TO HUNTSMAN SIMPLY REQUIRES CHECKING AN EXTRA BOX AND WRITING AN EXTRA ESSAY. IF WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT YOU INTO THE HUNTSMAN PROGRAM, WE WILL THEN CONSIDER YOUR APPLICATION IN YOUR SINGLE DEGREE CHOICE. NOT BEING ACCEPTED FOR HUNTSMAN WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR CHANCES OF BEING ACCEPTED TO YOUR SINGLE DEGREE CHOICE."

also, sjay, i dont know if you ever got the answer to your question about hindi, but i asked the admissions officer about learning chinese as well as french with huntsman (which i knew when i was little but not any more). it probably applies to your same situation. she didnt think i would be able to. her main concern was that i wouldnt be able to become fluent by junior year.

hope that helps.

In..best day of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good job abc...i got deferred.

as did i.. can you share the letter with us?

congrats!
