dw: ROFL. i'm a girl! maybe we can go and i can pick up the guys. japanese dudes are...cool. short and kinda pervy, but nonetheless, pretty cool.

I didn't get it, and I am not really expecting to get one. I think the people at the Huntsman Program will make the best decision for Penn and the Program, and I am not going to complain if I don't get in. Lets not stress about this "tape" thing guys. I looked at your stats, and you guys will do great wherever you go!

lol need_help.. welll.. didnt someone mistake me for a girl a number of posts ago? haha sorry

dw: no problem, lol. and i totally agree with ABC about the whole decision thing. i mean, Penn probably knows who will fit in and everything.

hi huntsman peeps!! lol, not a hunstman EDer myself - i'm going for the College, but i just had to comment here...

ABC - that's a helluva name! cool ~~ ^^
dw and needhelp: i saw your lil talk about japan and i just gotta say - i wanna go sooooo badly!!! mind if i tag along on your lil trip? lol. while dw is busy picking up girls, needhelp, i'll join you in picking up guys haha ^^

Honestly, whether you attend the Wharton School or the Huntsman Program, you really can't go wrong either way. If you guys read the book "The running of the Bulls," you will realize that it is "you" who will decided what kind of job and future you will have, not how many undergraduate degrees you have. I dreamed of getting accepted to the Huntsman Program for years, but it wouldn't be the end of the world for me if I don't get in!

good attitude man, i completley agree with your outlook on jobs.

i'll second what yeti said.... that's why I know in my heart I'll still kick azz even if I don't get into Wharton. I think most people here on CC that are high achievers will flourish anywhere

c'est vrai, ca, mais...I WANT PENN!! TT lol ^.^
^i like that phrase...it rhymes ^^

If the tapes were sent this Monday, they should have arrived at any place around the world by now, right? It seems like far less people at CC got the tapes compared to those of last year.

it might take longer to arrive at some places though. tapes in the US should have arrived already, but I could still get it until the beginning of next week here in Brazil. we'll see...

And who know? but maybe they decided to send in fewer tapes this year or sth.

Honestly, though I try to remain optimistic, the fact of not receiving a tape ails me, and I have a strong feeling in the pit of my stomach not to get my hopes up...

no worries, i didn't get a tape either!

neither did i :)

and from my sources, 3 people I know who got in from korea all didn't receive tapes!:)

I guess there's no need to test the native speakers. Maybe those who didn't get the tape are so IN that there's no need to test them (This is my theory). Ha ha.

Hey Pepero, what school do you go to? There's this Korean friend I have who went to a science/math high school in Korea (At least that's what I heard). I just want to ask him if he knows your school (Hell be surprised if I just go up to him and mention a school in Korea). Ha ha.

Also, are there a lot of people applying to Huntsman from Korea, or are you the only one? It must be hard for you to do things all by yourself.

I go to the Korean Minjok Leadership Academy - if he lived in Korea he'll probably know.

Well, this year for the ED round, I'm the only one I know that's applying... out of a few competitive schools that send alot of students to ivies every year but I don't think that makes my chances higher or anything.

Oh by the way guys - how many ppl do you think apply to huntsman in the ED round? On the site, it said something like 540-550 for ED and RD apps. Would it be around 150-200? That's my guess, only except that the numbers probably got higher cause of the increased apps this year.

On this one website, ivysuccess.com , they say that in the ED round, there were 81 applicants to the Huntsman Program for the class of 2008 (they don't say how many were admitted). But for the class of 2007, they say that 25 EDers were accepted to the Huntsman Program (but they don't say how many applied). I'm guessing the # of applicants rose from 2 years ago too...but if those #'s are right, I'm guessing probably around 100-140 for our class? I don't know...

here's the website if u guys wanna check it out:
