Gah! Don't do that to me! I thought my English teacher screwed up. It wouldn't have been the first time.

Does anyone know where the IB exams are going this year to be graded?

Does anyone know where the IB exams are going this year to be graded?

it depends...my History is going to Australia...lol...but English is going somewhere else for me (I forget)

~I agree with annandale, Enviro SL was super easy this year

Eh... for anyone who is taking or has already taken the IB Music Theory SL Exam in years past, I understand that the test is 2 hours and 30 minutes long, and my teacher told me that there are a total of 5 pieces to analyze. I was also told that I need to bring a personal CD player. With all of that said, do I get 2 hours, 30 minutes to use whichever way I want? For example, could I do song #4 then song #1 then song #3, or is there a strict order I must adhere to? Do I get only a certain amount of time for each piece? I have not been prepared at all for this... my teacher is new this year, so she barely had/has an idea what IB is in the first place. I would appreciate some feedback regarding this matter. Thank you very much.

I took IB Psychology this year... Not bad at all.

I'm done! Woo hoo!

I just got back from an IB camping trip- the last bit of IB bonding before we graduate. :(
sniff, sniff

I have my last exam (German SL) Tuesday. Getting really nervous...

Shahein- SL or HL? I took Psych SL last year.

what don't be sad! be happy IB's almost over!

Oh man. Testing for me was a while ago, but here's my 2 cents:

Math 1 sl: Supposedly the easiest class for math...heck, I got a 7 on practice paper 1's but the paper 1 sucked big poo! I think I got a 7 on the paper 2 though...

Anthro SL: I ate this. Paper 1 blind passage was kinda crappy for anyone who cared about 9-11, and our teacher is writing a letter to IB about it. She liked the passage, but she can pull some weight in terms of adjusting markschemes if she so desires. My answer for the 3rd question was d-lish though. Paper 2 was really nice too, used reciprocity and trobrianders and the diff between malinowski and weiner. Then for part B i did globalization and I think I did it well too. Predicted scores: math: 5/6 (7 is a dream) Anthro: 6/(lucky if I get a 7)
Back to my HOA IA...

I took Psych SL. I was absurdly easy for us. Then again, our school is so messed up in that it teaches at higher level for all courses. So Psych is a really hard class during the year (it is 1 year), but we covered just about everything that would have been on the higher level test. The same is with Spanish and Math... Extremely annoying problem.

powerabe, I took Music SL last year, you get to listen to the cd in any order you wish. There is a recommended time that you devote to La Mer, then you can do what you wish in any order. You can even answer the questions on the paper in any order. Even pause, replay, etc. It's not like anyone else can control your personal cd player. No worries. I was lucky to get some easy pieces last year. Good Luck! :)

hey... i'm gonna take math SL, math HL, history HL, english HL, spanish SL, Chem SL, Bio HL, Phys HL.... am i DEAD or WHAT.... lol, and i'm hoping to survive!!! 3 SCIENCES and 2 MATHS.... guys, please post on "my chances for brown" thanks, love you all!!!!

Hey confused, I don't think you can get a diploma taking those tests....and I'm pretty sure that you can only take 6...
Did ANYONE take Anthro???

I did History HL (Americas). Paper 1 was pretty straightfoward, two and three I didn't have the greatest knowledge on (although I destroyed the questions on ww2 and the great depression), so I probably ended up with a 5. I can deal cos it doesn't matter.

Lucy- I'm glad IB is almost over, but it's kind of sad to say goodbye to IB kids you've known for a really long time. Plus, we're the last bunch of IB kids. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. THEY'RE TAKING IB AWAY FROM MY SCHOOL!!!

Ashveer- You take 6 IB classes for your Diploma and extras for a certificate. I took Math Methods SL (7), Psychology SL (6), German SL, English HL, History HL, Biology HL, and Chemistry HL. Anthropology isn't offered at my school; I would have taken it.

zephyr- I did the Great Depression essay too! I immediately picked that one because I had memorized all of FDR's New Deal programs the night before. Yay for last minute cramming! I also did the causes of revolution essay and the changing roles of women.

I have my German exam tomorrow. My last IB exam. And my hardest.

I sooo took the wwII question, lol. Didn't go for the Great Depression, though. Glad to have all my exams over!

yeah, you can take 8 tests! i did!! And i took wwII as well

it's diploma cuz my cousin did it too! and HE got into standard with this diploma-- full scholarship!! i think i did really well TOO!! we'll see...

YAY!!!!!!!! MY LAST IB EXAM IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I killed the German exam. It was a lot easier than I expected.

Hmm... It seems most of the IB exams this year were much easier than expected... I guess that gives me a hard year next year!
