Official Jan 26 Math 1!

OK, I always read the Math 2 threads, now its time for some math 1 pride. So how do guys feel the test was? I thought it was harder than the practice test in pr and cb? What curve do you think it'll be?

I know that the math 1 curve is usually harsh, isn't it something like:
-1 780 -2 760 -3 740, or is that "too" harsh?

I personally thought it was easier than the Princeton review practice tests. But, it didn't have a lot of abstract geometry questions, such as sphere in cube or diagonal questions, which are my Achilles' heel

Yay! I thought I was the only one who took Math 1 ! I was planning on taking Math II, right up until I realized my scientific calculator was still sitting on my desk at home. :( I didn't take any practice tests, so I couldn't say if it was harder than practice tests. I didn't answer a couple questions, hopefully that won't hurt me too much. I'm hoping for above a 700....

I took the test kinda last minute and decided to take this only a few days. I was signed up for two tests and only wanted to take one "real" one. So I thought and decided Math 1 would be the easiest.

I thought the test was pretty easy. Not too many hard ones. But I did skip about 5 problems... Some problems were just wierd

I know, the first questions was really easy. I was thinking, "Are you kidding me? A 1st grader could answer that!!!".

FarrCT here is a chart of the average curve. Pretty harsh

it was pretty easy except for like that last couple of questions it was kind of weird to me and the wording

This is probably the EASIEST thing I have ever taken. No prep, took it last minute because I chickened out of taking Chemistry, and pulled an easy 800. Why does CB even make this test, I don't know.

does anyone remember the sphere in the square question. I remember the volume of the sphere was 45, You had to see how much the side of a square had to be. All my answers were too big so i just guessed.

Cbrochill ya I remember that question. I don't get it. I solved the problem to get the radius. The radius was too big for the answers. I didn't get it.

skipped one got two wrong for sure. that makes my score about...

One of the questions was highly ambiguous; and I think I guessed wrong between which fallacy of equivocation they meant. Other than that, it was the easiest test I've ever taken and I finished in a little less than half the time. 780 probably, given that I in all likelyhood missed the ambiguous one.

Do you think it would be worth retaking to get an 800?

what did u guys get for the one about the area of the triangle bound by 2 lines and the y axis ?? it was stupid i tried everything but nothing worked!!

Sciencenerd- Did you remember that the formula is 2(pi)(radius squared) ? I think I took the sqare of R , and my answer matched up....

I left 7 q's blank(max 750), but I'm pretty confident I got everything else right.
