Edit: Never mind :(

no it was 8r^3

ight *** i got the symbol one wrong (i was shooting for an 800... errr)
anyway can someone please explain the hotel problem

if i get that one wrong... im really really skrewd (i'd be tempted to kill myself if i dont get a score above 750 on math)

well. hotel problem.

it has to be the 3rd day because of the "10 day hotel stayer"

for the hotel one, push every bodies visits past the 4th day and then bob and lui family can't intersect, so only through days 1-4 can only one family be in the hotel.

what about an 8 essay and miss 5? What score should that be?

the score range on 8 essay and -5 is 640-780 according to the blue book...so probably right around 700

goldfish, i'm thinking that would be about a 710-730.

depends on the curve, but I'm thinking somewhere aorund a 700.

Do you guys think the curve really affects the scores that much? I mean wouldnt changing one point drastically change everyones scores? What Im trying to say is does the college board change the curve that much?

y do u have to push others past the 4th day
only lui and another family cannot overlap
other families can stay whenever they want

i thought when they said 10 consecutive days, the family didnt sleep on the 10th night; the question specifically asked for one night that only one family stayed at the hotel

lol. they slept 10 consecutive nights. not days.

the curve really does nothing more than boost or lower the test taker's self esteem. When colleges analyze your SAT scores, they look at the SCORE RANGE, more than anything. In their mind a 770=800 because it's in the same range.

But 740-760, thats just too bad

Can someone prove to me why one of the gridins was 13/2 ?

the box was 2 1/4 (area)

so you had the box...and then you had to add that 1/4 area
which meant that the side had to add an additional 1/4 perimeter onto both sides

2+1+1+2+1/4+1/4 = 6.5

yeah, getting a 740 IS different from getting a 760 because it's not in the same range

I believe the score range for Math is 760-800

anyone get 120 and 2000 for the gridins?

120 and 700 is what i got

yeah 120 and 700
